You're right about ending the turn, but that only seems to work for Arcane Forge. For Gentle Rain, it still doesn't update, and needs a recast.

Enchant a city with a spell like Arcane Forge or Gentle Rain, then increase the essence by building a scrying pool, oracle, etc. The effect of the enchantment does not change, so you have to remove the spell and recast it. I'm assuming it is all spells that scale with essence, I just happened to notice it with the two mentioned.
This issue still exists in 1.20 Any chance of an improvement to messaging or something? (It is very annoying)
Being able to move your full distance and still get a shot off doesn't really make sense to me. Think about if the battle was taking place real-time: whenever you pause to shoot, your opponent would be gaining ground on you. What we have though is a situation where if the units have the same movement and initiative, the archer can run and shoot every turn, and the other guy will never get any closer. When you create a sovereign, set strength, dexterity and intelligence to zero. Click on a different tab, then back to stats, and they will have been set back to 10*, but no points were deducted. *only works if you have at least 10 stat points free, otherwise they are set to however many you have left Also
