at the same time that we would have to get rid of water the ships could probably be altered to work on land as .. uhh ... the "land" ships, but all that should take would be to un-flag whatever is keeping them in the water. gears as general production would be better, I was just trying to think of how to make the hero units "special". maybe the hero units could be set to be the land ships ... but then how would that handle hero combat? nahh, that's not a good idea.

just listing the possibilities, I wouldn't say I'm capable of doing it on my own, but it seems possible. kingdom changed into the north, empire would be the south with the various sub factions being nations. hero characters would be gear pilots while peace river, port Arthur, and the rovers would be quests/monsters/ect. with heroes being the gear pilots, trained units would be like tanks and infantry. anyone like this idea?
yeah, I've got the same question. I registered my code last night but don't see anyway to down load it. will it just automatically pop up in game? *edit* never mind it showed up when I went back into impulse to check, It was grayed out so I didn't see it at first.
like I said: I tried the stock leaders + factions. the general dude from the campaign (kingdom side), and the witch lady (empire). longbows and short bows didn't work. I'll try things after a clean install, currently downloading the patch: "87.5 MB/199.47 MB" at "19 KB/s"
no, you can accumulate food. each city has a rate of consumption (based on your # of houses) but it's all drained from a communal pool. city #1 has a food production of -4 because it's only got 1 farm and 8 houses. (so all the food the farm is making is consumed, and then 4 more food is consumed from another city.) city #2 has a food production of +6 due to 2 farms, irrigation, a npc farmer, and 4 houses. (no
k, I ended up saying hell with it and using the installer on the disk but I'll keep that in mind if I have to do this again. it took about an hour and then some for the disk to install and during the whole thing I could hear my dvd drive going ballistic with the lens twitching allover the place, during the 7-zip unpack it didn't make a sound. it makes me think that the problem is that you have the installer AND the compressed file being accessed from the disk, so the le
*raises hand* in the process of doing a clean install, not surprised that it's not going to work. (before anyone asks: yes, I tested it with the stock characters that shipped with the game as well as newly crated characters and sill not hits. I even went so far as to delete my old save games + custom units and still no luck) also, I never had the beta multiplayer patch. I was just playing with 1.08 + the hotfixes (and yest I
is there some way to manually install elemental? I decided to do a clean install (after I couldn't get ranged weapons to work right no matter that patch/mod I tried to use) but the installer on the disk sucks ass! it takes hours to install the game, at first I was like "oh well" but then I noticed that it's just unpacking zips. sure enough when I looked, the games files are just compressed and oh, look 7zip is sitting right there. game installer = hours. 7zip =
OK, that makes sense. it seemed like it was calculating hit % instead of damage variation.
hunh?!?!! so max value is multiplied by "-1" and the min by "-0.1". that's kind of screwy as it seems like the only way you could get a the thing to do damage is if your attack was actually supposed to not do damage. (negative times a negative equals a positive and all that) so how i'm reading it is taht any time the units base attack value is positive, that calculation would invert the value into a miss. shouldn't i
I really can't see most of the issues people on here are having, I played most of last night (about 4 hrs) and 5 hrs today without a single crash. I played all the way through the campaign today and the only issues I ran into were in CH 7. 1st problem: the ship from the jungle chick (can't remember her name, not important enough to look it up) shows up attached to the ship your get from the general. not sure how this is supposed to work, b
I'm in the campaign (637 moves) and I want to load an autosave from 1 move back. long story, but it involves archers running halfway across the map to be slaughtered instead of attacking. when I try to load from the main menu it only gives me save slots from the sandbox mode, the options screen only gives me options to load and I cant seem to find a key binding list to look up if there is an Function key to get to the correct load menu. having fun
so, yeah ..... GOD DAMN YOU, Stardock! I'm simi-broke and now i'm thinking of spending $70 on the LE version just to spite that shit head from PG gamer. on top of that I picked up the novel at borders today and read the first two chapters ... god damn it! I can't spend $70 right now so I sure as hell can't spend $86 for the book too! yeah, I'm being melodramatic. I was planing on buying the game even before t
