Just bought the game today. Played for about 40 minutes, saving every few minutes. Had about 5-6 save files before I quit out. Went back to the game, and all my saves were gone. I was playing the main campaign. This is on Win7 b4-bit. Let me know if any more info would help. If an answer to this exists somewhere, please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I still support you guys and the games you put out. Many games have bumpy launches and I won't hold it against such a fine game developer. You guys worked your butts off on this, and I know it will be of the same caliber as your other titles. Plan on picking it up soon!

A few different ideas.. This is sort of a "worker" but I'm thinking a MoM style engineer unit that can build roads, destroy walls, and so on. Maybe build bridges across rivers if their is any sort of Civ style attack-over-water penalty that the bridge could negate. Or even digging to allow engineers to build tunnels under defenses or walls. *** I actually like the idea posted by Tamides where you have a bunch of people from your nearest town run out and do it. Maybe al
Still have the forced proprietary server crap though which puts them in line with EA, EA being the one that just yanked servers for a game barely over a year old (PC).
Which game?

I've had some 2-3 games now work for a while, and then at some point decide that they are pirated (which they aren't) and stop working. Roller coaster Tycoon 3 and Sims 3 come to mind off the top of my head (though Sims 3 got worse after a certain update). I used to think I didn't need to worry about DRM because it didn't effect me. I was following the rules after all. Now I've decided not to buy games like Assassins Creed 2 even though I really enjoyed the 1st one. I just don't know

These days it seems EVERY game has DLC. They can do extra missions or multi-player maps. As long as you can download it and pay something for it, it's dlc. [e digicons][/e] Not that I mind at least having an option for it. And some games' DLC has been great!

Wow... wow... that's not cool. [e digicons]8|[/e] So if I wait a year or two, they'll release it as a "super duper gold" version or something, and have all three packaged as one?

The second part? What like a sequal? Do you have to buy the game in two parts? Is it an expansion or some sort of DLC? I'm sure I can go to the site and check.. but I doubt I will.. [e digicons]:moo:[/e]

The whole console vs. PC thing: to me, seeing the xbox (wich I don't own) do well has been great, because so many xbox games are now being ported to the PC. Unlike the PS2 days when only the biggest would get ported, I feel like even though some PC titles may be "dumbed down" a bit for the consoles, the sheer numbers coming over to the pc now make me happy. I hope them all success!

I have to say, Fallout 3 has become my favorite game of all time. I played MoM when it came out, the original Fallouts when they came out, I've played hundreds of RPG's turn based and not. I like or love many of them. I have never had so much fun as with Fallout 3. I know not everyone agrees and I don't care. On a pc with mods, it just can't get any better for me. I doubt I'd be saying that with a console version though. Oh and with the DLC (or GOTY) it's just

So what happens if you just order a copy from the states? Or have someone sends you one. Does it somehow know you're in Spain? I know DVDs have that sort of thing but PC games?

I live in Cali, and our budget problem is huge. But we have a sales tax of 10%! It's insane to try to buy anything when you have to spend a $1 on every ten. We are $22 Billion in the red, but even if we fired EVERY state employee, it would only save $5 billion. Our real problem here is a budget system that requires a 2/3's majority vote. Which pretty much means NOTHING ever gets done to fix budget out problems. Our big problem is spending, and a messed up budget voting system.

National sales tax is pretty much a f**k the poor tax. Maybe you're crazy rich, but it means a wild shift in tax revenue and where those taxes come from. If you expect the bulk of taxes to come from lower and middle income people while the highest income brackets pay squat, then we will never see eye to eye, and neither will most of the country. It's just naive to think a single and simple tax can fix all our problems, or that any one thing can fix our problem

From the Boston Globe "Recall that President George W. Bush inherited a budget solidly in the black, as well as a projected 10-year surplus of $5.6 trillion. But the tax cuts, new entitlements, and spending increases he oversaw resulted in more than $2 trillion in red ink, and that’s before the bank bailout. And by the time Bush left office, his policies, if carried forward, would have spelled another $10.6 trillion in debt over 10 years. Now, let’s be

I'm sure I'll eventually buy the Civ game, but I am much more excited with Elemental! I mean the reason I play Civ is because it's similar to MoM.. follow me? Though as to the original comment, I can see the concern. I've know enough people who would maybe buy a game like elemental cause they like the genre of game, but know the Civ series as "the best" and would want that much more. That said, I don't think it's cause for concern, and maybe, just maybe, the popularity of a ga

Man, reading this made me sad... I found myself in the mood for a turn-based rpg a couple weeks ago, and had the problem where I couldn't think of anything to play that wasn't from the mid 90's. I loved the Might and Magic games (not Heroes, that's not an rpg) and even the Wizardry games for being so large (at the time) and unforgiving. Or anyone remember Lands of Lore? I wish a good turn based rpg with strong story elements would come out with modern and cool graphics. <
