I'll be perfectly honest the campaign story doesnt phase me at all. I've never played GalCiv2s story, just the normal skirmish/whatever they call it on the largest map sizes.

Because I'm hell bent on doing something other than just Demotivators.
Granted, only you log on to find that the actual admin was a Chinese spy. Exactly 5 minutes later Homeland Security bursts through your school and hauls you off to a secret interregation chamber. I wish I knew...everything, and that knowing everything wouldn't make my brain explode.
Fail: Veers dies on a suicide mission. Win: I've Preordered Elemental.
Quoting Martok, reply 46 I hate to admit my ignorance, but why is that unfortunate? Does this up the difficulty in playing custom games in some way? Maybe related to the fact that even if it's a private game, the savegames can only be done in Stardock's servers (anti piracy thingy too?).
Have they confirmed that this is done when your playing LAN?
I believe they meant to say "Marry off your daughters and/or sons." [e digicons][/e]
I'm going to be perfectly honest I don't know which channels are reliable and which aren't. But the only news (Real news not video game etc) I watch is BBC America once a week. Which is kind of odd.
This might be my first time posting on the Elemental forums, so prepare the scathing remarks! On a side note, some sort of 'road forts' would be nice. The Romans really enjoyed building things, and they organized a very structured road control system with forts and inns along the major roads to provide security. It's be tedious to levy troops to garrison every single one, but as a road upgrade it would be int
For christmas I got Dawn of War: The Complete Collection (the word booyah springs to mind) Ive been cracking on with it since and am now working my way through Dark Crusade and giving up on the campaigns to actually learn to play the factions better themselves. I went looking for Forum help and cant seem to find jack shit. Certainly nothing as useful as the GPGnet forums on Supreme Commander or the forum here on Demigod. Im just wanting to kn
My first PC game.......damn this is close. Well, my first memories of playing a PC game would be competing with my Dad on Pharaoh(And Cleopatra Expansion) to see who could build the better cities. I always made the mistake of growing armies and killing things while my citizens starve and huts burn down, meanwhile my father turns egypt into a sprawling Metropolis with 0% Crime, Famine, Hunger, War, add to that the fact that my lousy Pharoah never built a pyramid.....
Seriously, has science died? No. Wrong. It has, at least in the States. Did you see the Fox "News" John Steawrt edit?
Reliable and respectable news stations have died, not science.
Nice looking doggie that! Are there still plans for a 64 bit version?
Ohh, a question that I can answer, this is new. Frogboy/Stardock (Same thing right) are negotiating with Intel for use of the 64bit version of Havok, unfortunately Intel wants "Tens of thousands" for it, so Frogboy is trying to get them to lower the price. If you want to read it for yourself: https
Re Sieges in Elemental: Sieges in Elemental are particularly powerful because so much of a city's resources come from other cities. Place units around a city and those resources will get penalized more and more. Thus, you can starve a city out.
YES! That is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. You guys rock more and more every day.
I agree, and I also like to play on large maps, in fact I have never played GalCiv on anything other than the largest map size.
Fail: I don't trust people who use the word dichotomy. Win: Smallville also comes back! Bonus Win: I finally got Babylon 5 on DVD!

Is this it?: http://www.amazon.com/Elemental-Destinys-Embers-Brad-Wardell/dp/0345517865/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263685713&sr=1-1 I had to do some digging in order to find it. Is it for sure coming out August 3rd?
Thats definitely it, look at the author. :) As for the release date, IDK.
32 player multiplayer. This is a big one and will take a lot of work but it we are requiring that the game handle up to 32 players playing together. To make this work, it also means that games need to be automatically saved (to our servers regardless of whether it’s on a custom modded server or ours) so that stopping and starting games later is easy.
Totally agree but does this mean no LAN? Or is that only for playi
Irational failed to post a fail, so I'm going to fail to notice his post at all. Xer07, Fail: I don't watch lost, ever. Bonust Fail: February got its name from the latin word februum, which means purification via februa which is a ritual to cleanse or wash yourself of sins and occured on 15th (Julian calendar) Win: Supernatural comes back soon.
