ok thanks, it is often hard for normal humans to tell what is compatible and what is not when it comes to mods. I assume I can't install Master's Affliction and still get all the races and items from Stormworld without doing a lot of work? Mike.

Could you build large UI mod into this? or is it compatible? It is tough to have to install multiple mods, and make sure I don't miss any steps each patch, and make sure I remove all parts of it each patch from my games and from the install directory. I would love it if steam workshop or some other great software managed it all for me. Mike.

A strong lightning mage can kill dragons fairly quickly. I usually make my mages focus on lightning and learn the fireball from the tech tree. No reason to make a real fire mage. I don't think you can get strong enough this way by turn 50 though. Also on the hardest difficulty mages are kind of a joke because of triple HPs. It just takes too much mana to kill anything. Mike.

As I read this thread and munch on my bacon wrapped ham I think to myself... I wonder if you can ignore a user and not see his posts or threads? If this guy was serious and not trolling for attention then he would know that not eating bacon is all about sacrifice. And not getting cheap heals reinforces that sacrifice and makes him a better person. He should specifically not eat it and feel better about himself because of it. In the meantime I can't believe I replie

How about we call the games with lots of depth and choices Rich And we call the games with less choices Streamlined They both sound positive, as both are good in different ways. Also Warlock is certainly a streamlined game. FE is certainly a Rich game. These are words I use when talking about the games, I don't think I would ever call a game baggy in 'real life'. Mike.

Regeneration in combat was really unfun because my fast hero with a horse would run around for 5 minutes regenerating to full then hit the enemy once, then repeat, and defeat much stronger yet slower foes in 20 minute or more battles. I think the change makes the game more fun. You can still use this technique by waiting until your hero gets a double turn and spend one turn going in and attacking and one turn running away again. This is very unfun and could be fixed with zone of contr

The best recent strategy games (last year or two) are: FTL (Faster than light) some called it a roguelike meets startrek, but essentially it is a really fun strategy game with a bit of RPG) X-COM (first play through only) it doesn't have much in the way of different paths, although it has some RPG in it. The second playthrough is very much like the first. But it is very fun the first time. Mike.

When you are making a custom faction and you are choosing a race like Karth or Man, there is no way to see what the races do. There should be a tooltip, or it should show the little race icon on your picture like it does when you leave the race selection, custom faction screen. Now you have to make all the choices for your race, advantages and disadvantages and then race and then save it creating a new custom faction. Then hit accept to see what your race does, maybe it will g

I agree, the game should be about adventure and exploring. I actually think the unit customization option is a bad one because of this. I don't really want to spend a lot of time making the perfect unit every time I discover a new resource or unlock a new tech. I do like everything else though. Mike.

I think the mechanic is civ 5 is terrible and it makes me not play the civ series. The mechanic in this game is slightly less bad but still bad. Just remove it entirely.

If you had a perfect rating in the choices then a lot more people would have chosen excellent. I gave it excellent because I have spent already a hundred hours playing and it has been the most fun game I have played in months. I think it can be improved a lot but it is already excellent. Mike.

Any chance we can get a discount code or a way to buy it half price on steam? I would pay $10 to buy it again on steam so I never need to patch but not $40. Mike.

I think only one country in the world uses the date format that Gammit10 uses. Way to go calling this guy out for using the real date instead of the one you use Gammit10. Logical way to do dates: day month year

Instead of making swords the best initiative and have counterattack, the best ability, especially on heroes, why not split these up. Make spears the fastest initiative at +4 and make swords +0 but have counter attack. This divides the 2 best traits of weapons and makes spears a reasonable choice in more situations. Another option is make staffs the fast thing but not deal a lot of damage. So if you want speed use a staff, or if you are a mage use a staff. If you want damage or

This is all great stuff. I did the same thing on the highest difficulty, winning 3 games in a row with no towns, no research, no mana nodes, no outposts, etc. I think kiting is some of it, don't make boots +1 move, give them something else like ignore terrain. Don't make horses +2, make them +1. Give some monsters a charge ability. Give some monsters an attack when enemies walk away from them, maybe give it to spears or axes also. <p

I think the kiting is part of the problem not just the buff. I would love it if on the highest difficulty all monsters had +2 movement speed in combat and on the next highest they have +1 move sped in combat. This makes the game harder as promised. Mike.

When I make a wizard I want to be able to cast spells and defeat my enemies. I end up getting a sword and stabbing them until I hit level 8 or so and have mana production maxed out so I can finally cast decent spells and afford the mana. Sometimes I go through most of the game without casting a spell because my sword fighting ended up scaling faster than my spell casting and it was costing me no mana to sword fight. This is despite being a warlock mage evoker. M
