NeoWolfen, try closing Impulse and running the following file: http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_registrations.reg Make sure to follow the link in Internet Explorer, as other web browsers will not handle the file type correctly. Once you follow the link, save the file and double-click it to apply it. Then launch Impulse and login with your account (same account as the forums) and run Elemental.
That option disappeared some time ago. I miss it. (I think the verb on the menu was Verify.)
The verify option only appears now if you hold the 'shift' key while right-clicking on the game entry. The modifier was added as there is potential for accidently verifying a third-party game, which could result in data loss. Verification is really only for Stardock games and applications.
I've noticed that recources even within the sphere of influence and built on may not "link up" to the closest city.
Currently, a resource needs to be close enough to a city to link.
is there some way to tweak or mod the game files to allow cities to link to all rescources with their given influence?
I believe this is hard-coded
Explain me pls what is the difference between "epic" and "normal" pace?
Epic - slow pace Normal - normal pace Fast - fast pace
Is the turn button grayed out? What about when you exit Elemental, then load the save game again? Can you please save your game to dropio and post the link? Also, your debug.err file under: %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Elemental could be useful. You can get to dropio here: http://www.drop.io/
Nice work
Is the performance better when you disable outlines under the video options?
Netbooks are not currently officially supported. If you run with cloth map only, and set the resolution to "Custom" in game, then enter the following in 'Prefs.ini': DisplayWidth=1024 DisplayHeight=576 Then you may be able to play. Also, hooking up an external monitor should work.
We have seen this recently in internal testing. If you have a way to reliably reproduce this, please let us know.
I haven't seen this before. Does this happen after a particular action? Are you using the Hardware Cursor option?
must be a another randomness problem. there are either too few or too many (insert random resource here) every time you start a new map.
Resources should not be that rare. What do you have the world difficulty set to? Note that the easier setting, the more resources will be available. The only resource that is guaranteed to be near you is a fertile land tile.
Horses are somewhat rare, and they appear randomly just like anything else. Note that if AI has horses, you can trade them something for some.
Delmoroth, do you have a save game and/or debug.err of when this is occurring? Is this with versions 1.06?
Pexx421: Any time you get a crash, feel free to post your debug.err and any crash dumps. For information about doing so, please see this post: https://forums.elementalgame.com/392578
The amount of resources on your map as a whole is tied to world difficulty. The amount of resources by your starting position is random, just like the rest of the map. The only resource guaranteed to be near your starting position is a fertile land tile.
