What you're seeing a last ditch attempt to separate out the lemmings from the rest, the people who will kill themselves in frustration when they can't wait half an hour for a free game. Nice atmosphere so far. The game feels way more done and complete already in the beta. One issue I had so far was however that I got a report about to elarn a new since technology but started already a battle at that point. Because of that teh system got totally conused and finally ended the battle out of nowhere and I was unable to use any controls at all.
Hmmm thi is mainly an assumption but I guess impulse does save when we actually bought something or registered tehre something and I guess in case of retail versions stardock will propably offer a way to prove it by a bill copy if it is not registered. As said it is mainly an assumption and I can be wrong. Hope it does not look like I am camping the thread. It is just that I am really interrested in the topic. [e digicons][/e]
Hmmm more eprsonality for Ai sounds kind of nice. Like for example an AI that just does have a certain grudge or disliek against certain a Race or faction and just acts not rational in behave of this group. Or maybe some certain preferrence in he case of which magic is used or in generally being truthworthy or being backstabbing. Additional to this a fitting leaderface and there certainly could be done a lot. Hmmm maybe already it would help if the otehr parties would act a bit

I think lore is important but gameplay>everything else. Yeah, it really is a tightrope walking that line between 'building an immersive world' and letting the player drive the narrative of their sandbox game. I think the best comromise is to make sure the game is aware of the events that the player is
I for one LOVE the artwork, and its wonderful to see you guys using it and taking it to the next level. There is alot of talk about the importance of lore. But this brings back MoM. To me that game had no lore, but i played it for hours on end. I think lore is important but gameplay>everything else.
Ok, but WHY??? can't we have two buttons, instead of one?
Hmm because than tehre could be a chance of error. Hmmm actually it should start automatical and win for me and while it is running do my housework too. Ah even better doing my work in general. That is a cocnept someone shpuld think about for a game. :) On a more serious matter. It is nice to see you around and I am curious about furtehr Stard
Well I really like the creatures that are aviable ove rthe diplomacy tree. They are a nice change to the rest of the human Units. That brings me to what I maybe would wish in a long run an improvement, like more none human like races or geenrally the option to create more different kind of creatures. Or maybe some race specific creatures aviable.
notepad++, always did drive the other programmers insane when used it :)

As of 1.07, most major issues have been resolved and the game is really fun. If the game had Sid Meier's name on the box, it would be pulling 8's easily. If it had Sid Meier's name on it, it wouldn't be this buggy. It still crashes for many people and a lot of things aren't wo
hard to say for sure though, due to what we got is mostly theological doctrines), I would guess that seafaring cultures would believe
Heheh, but serious fear that the AI becomes at one point to smart. I mean already in a dev blog was once mentioned that it got a mind of its own.

Ah agree, had the same thing as well, even when you have nearly reduced them to dust and they only can hope for you to be nice. But hmm maybe tehy are all really proud and prefer to die Than to use any chance to live a bit longer. ;)
Ah thank you, guess the essence bonus explains why one of my childrens had just an insane amount of Mana compared to myself. I guess in that case it is a good idea to start with high Essense or Wisdom when a Channeler is created. MAybe I was just all the time to much worried about loosing my Mana for no reason, since not noticed that you can actually level it up by the units you gave it to.
Ah see, but how can I get it easy back? I think this far the only way to get some is to level your channelor up or? Or is it not permanent removed?
Maybe I understood it wrong, since english is not my first language but do I not loose own essence when I turn champions into channelers? So is it maybe not a bad idea to do it?
On large maps the game ends up to run out of memroy after around 330 or 400 turns. It seems to be a sneaking process that happens while the game advances till it reach a point where it crashes with either to not react or give an out of memory message. The problem happened once or twice before the current patch as well.
Combine this with a hyper-aggressive AI (even on easy) and the game has a rushed, almost Starcraft feel to it. Build up fast, build up units fast, and await the initial rush of AI attacks (usually from Kraxis, if they are in the game, and they seem to be in every game).
While Agree in the case of AI agressive behavior, which should be maybe at elss around novice less aggressive, I am not sure if you know
Some other souvereign had - Goldamount around -512 this allows you to use it as a kind of anti favor against him which than leads to a even higher overlow propably the highest long int value you allow in the negative and that as well can be sort of traded with and lead that you as the player get that extreme high negative amount as well. At least I think that this did lead to this by me in the end.

Race: Well It was propably mentioned several time, and maybe a bit more for the mod faction but it would be great to have more not only pure humanlike groups around, like the Insect like race in a complete hive way. That uses fitting creatures like the spiders or otehr creatures like this. Than again I fear it would take great changes to create a civilisation like this. Groundchanges on
No need for apologize. Ok nice that you do it anyway. I totally understand you as a person that is a softwaredevloper and needed to work in customer service for a while. :) So finally get some days rest and distract yourself. By the way the book of you worked out quite nice and the gift offering looks promiseing. :)
Serious I hardly understand the uprage, it is not like tehy where kept uninformed about the whole game till its release. Yes someone can amybe rightful complain about still existing Bugs. Than agains tehre are lot of useless complains about Bugs that are directly fixed at the start and not anymore existent. I mean someone reading through the all accessable Developerblogs and all the information that is accessable, can hardly be surprised about the current game state or?
Hm, I made an Empire Faction as well and had that bug, looks like it is connected to the Empire than maybe. Kind of sad since I prefer their side to the good ones by far. ;)
