I think LogonStudio adds the registry value to enable login customization, then lets you select a background and changes the path as needed. Ironically, it's a Win7-native feature, it just takes a bit of hunting...

It's all good, I used a Visa gift card, which has it set up so a normal human being can enter billing information. I'm glad Stardock has such strict policies regarding cardholder confirmation, so transactions are secure. Now for the reboot dance as I install all of the Object Desktop products... *mod can lock this now, issue is resolved*
Go into Control Panel>>Programs>>Uninstall a Program. Highlight Impulse and choose "Change" Select "Repair Application" and let it do its thing. You should be able to update and get your expansion just fine now.
I ordered Object Desktop on Saturday using an AMEX gift card, but initially got a "declined" message because I tried to use it before it had fully activated. However, when I go to check my balance, I see that there is a payment pending for it from Stardock. I figured it may have just been a weekend thing and would process as normal today. It still hasn't however, and claims that the transaction was authorized but is waiting for confirmation from the "merchant" (in this case,
Hm... Looking at that screenshot I got a bit of a headache. I'd say start with icons for each program, then the user double-clicks the icon to bring up the possible commands for the program. And if at all possible, (unless it's already included) have a check to make sure the keyhook you're using isn't already in use.
Slight issue I see there is getting your registry entries back. But you've paid for the software, so it's yours to keep, even after the subscription ends.
Make sure you have the latest updates for Fences (it should say 12/19/2009 under the "Last Updated" column) as there may have been a fix in there.
Scrollbar shouldn't be an issue. All WB does is simply overlay new textures mainly, adding transparency where needed... (the original window dimensions in terms of menubar, title bar, scrollbar, etc. are unchanged. There may be a couple exceptions, but the majority of themes I tried with the free trial were like that)
Win7 Pro, 1366x768, but games running fullscreen at 640x480 on some. I can confirm a few icons jump fence. Just as soon as I get Fraps back on here I'll take a quicky video and upload it to demonstrate. Out of curiosity, are you running 32 or 64 bit? (I'm 64) Might have something to do with that, I've seen a few 64-bit processes from Stardock where necessary (WB mainly)
Just got it, but I jumped the gun and tried using the gift card less than an hour after obtaining it. (big mistake) In theory it's paid for and all I need to do is wait for the confirmation email...
At least BootSkin Vista popped up a "this program does not work on Windows 7" message before I screwed myself over by installing it on Win7 x64...
I don't know if they already are or if it's possible (planning on getting OD in the next couple weeks once I have this semester's textbooks) but I'd like to see jump lists get skinned. (those things if you've pinned programs to the taskbar and right-click).
Must have missed the news announcement about it then =/ I'll look into it then! Just to make sure: If I purchase online and download through Impulse, nothing gets sent to me through snail mail, right?
OK, so it is doable. Considering the economy and the number of identity thieves out there, I prefer the anonymity when possible. I think I'm going to wait for OD2010 to come out first though, so I ensure I don't miss updates (I'm assuming that offer for OD Ultimate users getting a free year is gone now)
I'm having a slight issue with Fences, where if I hold right-click and drag on the desktop (to select multiple icons to work with) all I get is the "create new Fence" option. Now thankfully, I can still select and then right-click, but I'm wondering why there's no proper context menu integration like other programs have (i.e. 7-zip or Notepad++).
Can I use a pre-paid card for purchases such as ObjectDesktop? (such as a Visa gift card or other such things) I'd rather not have to use a credit card number unless I absolutely have to. It's not that I don't trust Stardock, I just want to keep the number of websites/companies with that information as few as possible.
