I answered other, here's what I mean by that: well if you're going to get away from the Elemental name, then use this opportunity to get away from the "universe" also. I don't mean you should throw everything like assets, races, lore, etc out. I mean you should make a "new" universe (or perhaps a new "continent") with a more interesting compelling background, races, story etc. Fallen Enchantress was okay in term of immersion, but it didn't really grab me. I think

The Decalon was already ridiculously good late game teleport basically anywhere + turn any hero into a competent mage + grab all schools you want for strategy (like earth for lower land) but now also essentially gives that player a huge production bonus above everybody else early to mid game because she's the only one who can afford to connect her cities. Great. And pathing is still sucks without a turn counter and a preview option no matter how much you improve the algorithm. Why doesn&#
I'm definitely picking this up to support SD and for Anthys as well. I'd like to know if this will increase the max map size for random maps. Also, where can we go to pick up some user-created maps? I'd like to see Middle-earth, the real earth, and I dunno but I'm sure somebody can think of some more cool ones.
Quoting Emperor_Nero, reply 3Seems like 3.5 - 4 /5 is the general consensus and I agree. The game was released with a lot of minor issues that needed to be polished. This is true for most games, but it is generally ignored with "big name", so-called AAA titles where the reviewers assume that the issues will be addressed (basically, these games receive scores based on their potential). With smaller releases, like FE, those issues

I stopped my scouts from auto exploring by just clicking on them and giving them e new destination.
Mine (ships, scouts, heroes whoever) select new au
I don't know exactly what I did to work around it but basically restart the game and try to reload different saves. I hope that helps until a proper fix arrives.
I found two map glitches in the campaign. The first is pretty obvious on the cloth map but has a much more subtle glitch on the closer view. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/836469/map%20glitch/island_glitch.png https://dl.dropbox.com/u/836469/map%20glitch/island_glitch_clothmap.png The second
I also got that message from ships I had set to explore. The only way to get it to stop was to set the ship to guard. On a related note I can't seem to figure out how to stop units from "exploring" once I tell them to. I also couldn't disband the ship... not sure what is intended here or not.
Several locations in the campaign which had monsters on them, which I destroyed, then had the goodie icon over their location. Moving my hero to the location would not give out the goodie, nor would the icon go away, and in one case the monsters actually respawned. The following links are debug.err and a screenshot: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/836469/debug.err <a href="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/836469/fallen_enchantress_1.png
In the campaign, in Chapter 5, before completing the quest to receive the boatyard, there is a group of ogres to the east. I attacked, lost, reloaded and noticed that one of my heroes was duplicated (I had two of him) in my party. I reloaded again and I got another of my heroes to duplicate etc.
I also have the same problem. In my case it was equipping the yew longbow (the one a champion came with) generated a long sword. It did this on any character I tried to equip it. I could sell it just fine, buy a different yew longbow and use that though.
Okay, so if and when multiplayer* support is added, will we be able to make/play scenarios as multiplayer? If so that is so freaking awesome, I don't even know what to say. Also, this whole added dimension, plus the custom maps, plus the added scenarios sure to come from modders (I'm not very good at it...) is just spectacular. I was already excited for this game; now I'm ecstatic. And for the record Frogboy, I happened to be in Best Buy the day of WoM's release (pure coincide

You could use Stardock Central. It manages all Stardock software... should be on the top of your downloads page. I don't want another manager program either, especially since I only use SC for FE but whatever, at least I don't have to manually do updates.
If I have a game save from Beta 4 that is crashing will I be able to play it in 4A, or is it gone for good? I just started playing 4 last night; really like what you've done so far. Could use some polish but overall I think it's awesome. Also, for future reference where do I post crash reports? Sorry for the noob question. One small quibble: I notice that the watermill will sometimes (always?) spin the wrong direction given the direction the river is flowing. Not something peo
The statcounter's US numbers put XP at 30%, I'd prefer those to statcounter's global numbers because a US (or EU) user is more likely to buy the game than somebody in China. The Steam numbers (which are international) give more like 20%, and this is probably even more indicative of potential market for this game. Personally I couldn't care less about XP and 32-bit systems. If you're still running one of these, let's face it you're not really interested in gaming, a
Looking even better, but obviously could use more work. If I have one request at this stage (besides bug fixing and stability) it's faction differentiation! Make those factions look a lot less "sorta human." If the Gilden are allegedly dwarf like - then shamelessly make them short stocky dwarves and be done with it. Make the magnar more obviously demon elves. Stop being subtle about it and through in some flare. I don't entirely agree with the art direction of the game but you can def
I see that 1.2c is out, any thoughts?
Same here icen9ne. I don't mean to pontificate but this rationale: "+ LOTS of code to handle the increasing costs in terms of people to run your improvements. If anyone thinks that getting highly talented people remains equally easy as you grow, ask google, microsot or apple about that. It's not." While very true, doesn't necessarily make it a good game mechanic. Namely it makes the game more tedious and less fun to play. Ah well who am I kidding, I'm really ju
Updated, and the version number says it is 1.2b, not 1.29, is this just impulse being weird or did I really revert to a beta of 1.2? Anybody else have this issue?
Okay a couple more questions: -Will I be able to see my current character's inventory and equipped equipment while in store? -Will I be able to buy a user defined quantity of items at the store all at once? (e.g. I want 15 clubs) -Will I be able to select multiple different items and then buy them all at once in the store? -Will I be able to see my current characters' equipped equipment while trading items between two characters? -Will the notification
The combat system is very different with damage types, resistance types, etc. Its user interface will be new.
Regarding these two points, is the UI for the game going to be new or just the UI in tactical combat? I ask because I didn't play elemental after about 1 game for three reasons: -no unit initiative system (which is in FE now) -OOM errors (which I'm assuming will be fixed)
