Great suggestions. I would also like to suggest dragging & dropping files/folders onto portals and ending up in the respectful directory. I know you can double click the title on the fence to open the directory but it's impractical

I think you should have entered this into the GUIC. I really like the red (I'm a little biased since it's my favourite colour) but this is very creative and easy to use. I hope to see more like this in the future starkers! :)

Add the ability to drag/drop files/folders to portals and have the item enter the correct folder :). Because at the moment the portal flickers and nothing happens. WFX 5 Win 7 Ultimate x64 ATI Radeon HD5770.

You don't need emphasis on your yes/no answers nakibest, I can read clearly. What you failed to specify was whether the icons that don't appear were the typical windows icons i.e: battery, volume, wireless/lan activity etc.. or whether they were other software icons although I did read that you mentioned Eudora (which again is completely unassociated with windows code) so therefore in this diagnosis the problem would lie within corrupt installation files or corrupt OS files, hence my

Make sure you've filled in the "glass" section of the explorer window. Although personally I haven't made a transparent skin. I would recommend viewing other skins to see how it's done and then try it :)

It's not Fences that's at fault here. If other software is malfunctioning on your computer I would recommend scanning the integrity of windows files via command prompt > "sfc /scannow"

I think you should take a look at this. Resolve the problem of the icons and you won't have to restart explorer thus fixing fences also. Just on a side note, I have restarted explorer several times and Fences still works for me. The only problem I have with Fences is if I drag files to the portal, the portals flash really fast and if I let go of the mouse button while moving a file/folder o

Illustrator is vector based. Photoshop is bitmap based. Illustrator is perfect for logo's, icons, printed material because it can be scaled larger or smaller without loss of quality. Photoshop is perfect for computer images, photo manipulations and computer content. It's also fine for icons too but some prefer Illustrator. I just wanted to post it so that people knew why too without a demonstration :)

[bug] Flashing file/folder when dragging to fence in Fences WinCustomize Forums

When I drag a file/folder over a portal the fence portal flashes and the file/folder under the cursor too, when I release nothing happens. Is this supposed to be like that ? It would be nice if you could drag and drop files and then it would go to that specific folder. :)
