Merry Christmas! Don't spend too much time on Elemental during Christmas. Christmas time is family time. :)
Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! ;)
Congratz @ Derek. A perfect choice. I think he will bring a huge boost for the future development of E:WoM.
I would try the the beta if you will provide it to us. Thanks for your hard work. I really appreciate it.
Their review is indeed a little bit strange: pros: + very long campaign (about 20 hours) ...ehm hello?^^ But I think they have also some good points in it. And they reviewed the game in its current state (no outdated pre-release version).
I have not much time, but here is their conclusion: Martin Deppe wrote: "Real love-hate. Rarely I wanted to fling my arms around the developers neck and simultaneously wanted to choke them. Elemental does some things insanely well: This consistent graphic design which looks all of a piece, the great unit designer, the combination of city building, exploring and fighting. And then there are things which drive me crazy. Such as the messy unit selection or these very slooo
I hate drama. Time to go further with the game.
Stardock has my support and stays one of the last companies I buy games from.
I enjoyed it, too. It's a typical fantasy book. Nothing special, but not that bad as some people are complaining.
Good point! I fully agree on the OP.
Happy birthday my friend!
Mostly playing aside from Elemental atm: Victoria II or Starcraft II. Both very great games. Starcraft II for the fast action and nice story. And Vicky 2 is just great if you want to have a longtime experience with developing a country and all its complexitiy (same as Elemental). Minor playing: Sins of a Solar Empire (I have still one nice longtime save game left -> just playing a little bit from time to time) and Mount&Blade Warband (perfect multiplayer for rela
Ehm...no!
Am I the only one actually having a great time ? ^^
No, you are not. I like the game. It needs some improvements, but for me it's fun to play despite the different bugs.
Great thread with a huge amount of feedback. Thank you for that and I am sure it will help the devs. [e digicons]k1[/e]
I get a better performance while using the hardware mouse cursor (not a huge performance boost but better than with the standard cursor). But sadly the tactical battles are unplayable with the hardware mouse cursor (no arrows and magic effects, attacking doesn't work after some turns anymore...).
Good bye, can I have your stuff??? I just hate these types of threads. You know about 99% of the people could careless and for the record MoM was not all that great even when it first came out, I still have the box it came in.
This! Nowadays every new release of a game is attended by some complainers who are crying for their prequels or any older game similar to it. This becomes more and more tedious. Why can't you accep
My (German) bookstore still lists it as "pre-order". I did order it, but so far no sign of it. Not being in the US probably adds a few days or weeks, as usual (unless it's popular stuff).
I ordered it two days ago on amazon.de and today I hold it in my hands.

If you are talking about Elemental: Destiny Embers: There will be a campaign exclusively for the owner of the book which will be splitted in four parts. I don't have my book yet, but I think the additional campaign will either attend the book's story or will continue it.
If it's true then they shouldn't have ever done a "bill of rights." There are always bugs, usually very serious ones. Starcraft II released with broken sound for some people, missions with endings that wouldn't proc, and issues where people had problems accessing some single player features. Have you seen the ending credits for starcraft II? There are like 500 people that worked on the game. Last year it was revealed
I was very surprised that amazon even sells the book in Germany. So I'm happy to get the additional campaign... and maybe a nice story, too
This! There are still 4 books left on amazon.de. Maybe some other in Germany living people also want it. ;)
I have fun with the game. It needs some polish, especially performance wise. But it's really fun to play on cloth map, too.
Frogboy mentioned they changed the GUI in the day0 update to a more intuitive way. I think this will include this "issue" here.
