The noise could be a number of things. What you need to do is open up the case, plug the computer back in, and run it with the case open so you can physically see if anything is touching anything that might be causing the clicking. As far as your connection failing, it could also just mean that your LAN or Modem card going bad. Those usually aren''t expensive to replace. [Message Edited]

The best advise I can offer there is to befriend a computer geek. You will usually learn to maintain a computer from geek friends, and if anything goes wrong, at least you'll have somsone on the phone who might be able to drop by and help you. I went from not knowing anything about computers to being able to build my own and maintain it in 3 or so years, and that's just because my boyfriend's a computer geek and I pick things up from him as I go along. Let's say you'll use this
I'm glad you've got XP, this makes things a lot easier. I don't know much about computers, but I've learned enough to work it myself if problems arise. There are a few things I will do with my computer. Since you're doing a fresh install, here are a few guidelines I follow for a good install. Usually partitioning your harddrive is a good idea, simply for these reasons. If windows gets messed up somewhere along the line, you can do a re-install without loosing all your valua
What Windows are you running, goodmorphing?
I had promised myself I will never post again... so this could be a mistake on my part. I''m not sure what operating system you have, but if you have XP, we''ll leave the "restore" option for last... if all else fails. If you can, goodmorphing, open up the case and check all the connections on the computer, just to make sure that there are no loose cables and make sure that all your wires are not touching the motherboard or video card. Transportation of your machine might jiggl
50 megs worth of downloading. 2 million members. That's, at least, (seeing how so many people in the past and now are hitting the cap) is 100,000,000 megs worth of downloading per year... Divide the $500,000 per year by (remember, this is all an estimation) by 100,000,000 downloads... my answer is 0.005cents per download. My estimates may be overboard (I don't have Frogboy's accounting books on me). ----- Okay, you're right. It's overboard. Sorry I said anything. Me and my big
I know I've left WC for a while (and will remain off for longer still... I haven't quite forgiven myself for the stupid stunt 6 or so months ago). I do, however, speak to Frogboy whenever he and I find a bit of time to do so. I didn't realize WC was in such a dilemma until today. Most of you have contributed a significant amount (as shown by status and various other ways). I know Frogboy wants to prevent the problem of a small number of users paying for everyone else... For th
Sorry, I'm going to be facing exam in a few days and then a dorm move. So I set my name as Offline to show I'm sort of gone for a few days. I'll be inactive. It's not a new feature, although if the admins would add it, it would be a nice feature, IMO.
I had enjoyed it. They brought out a few characters that made the story a bit more interesting. If the movie had just stuck with the original characters from the first movie, it would have sucked, IMO.

@#%!@#$%@#%^@&$^$(&I% stupid edit msg... it has a problem with me editing I see. Why is it that everytime I type "it's" it gives me a "it''s" after I submit?!?
I personally think it''s nice to see new names up there for a change. [damn typos] [Message Edited]
Just as "freedom of speech" is over rated, "sense of humor" is over rated. Everyone will think differently. What you and everyone else may think is funny or humorous, most of the time, it is at the expense of someone else. If that person did not see it as funny, the humor falls apart. Sure, everyone can lighten up, but feelings do not go away that easily. If you are hurt, wounds take time to mend and heal. Unless you're some odd mutant with extremely rapid healing powers, don't
I usually attend the NovaLogic Servers, mostly Blackhawk2 (that's Team Deathmatch). Go easy, aye?
Elfkura is my name, duh
Listening to my CD is harming no one. Driving recklessly on the road (even if you want to, it's your choice) endangers the lives around you plus yourself. That is a violation of other people's rights. If I have paid my respects and I just want to sit back, read, and enjoy some music... I'm not violating anyone's rights. I'm sorry the difference could not be applicable.
no paxx, but when a member come onto the site in search of help to be able to listen to his cd (which he had BOUGHT) on his cd player, and Jafo's pathetic comments about "that's related to warez, take it off the site" helped him none. When I've spent money to buy something so I can enjoy it for my personal use, I would be pretty damn pissed if I can't. I'm sorry if some PEOPLE think that copyright is EVERYTHING. It's not. When I get cheated out of a product I bought, I would be pretty d
/me laughs I can just hear you saying that out loud. /me remembers talk in the van /me laughs even harder
I'm still waiting for some Chinese server to take your stuff and host it.
I like my home country. There's no such thing as copyrights.

goran, fathom, webba?, matiz?, Malshai?, MickeM?
I say it again. I have rewritten the About page. I have emailed it to DavidK. When he gets the time, he will give it to the other admins. They can decide if they want to remove theirs and put mine up or not. No one's ever made a move to update it, lots of us have questioned it. And we wonder why new users become lost.
You realize that the price you pay on the cd, less than 20% of it goes to the artist, right? Who's stealing whose livelihood? Us or the IRAA?
That no longer applies, so says Jafo. Believe me, I've asked. I have given DavidK an updated version of the about page. It is now the admin's job to decide they like it or not and put it up (I just sort of half removed their excuse for not having time to re-do it).
