I would like a fixed time simultaneous turn game to keep things moving. I like the idea of a bank of time that can be spent when additional time is required to think over a complex situation. Im not sure that use of that bank should be linked to gold. Even with a fixed pool of additional time to spend over moves, I think you may need a mechanism whereby all players can agree to increase the ceiling of the timepool mid game (if everyone is running out) Perhaps rather than gold, time no
