I read somewhere that the Sovs are immortal, as such they don't age which explains how the children who do can be close in age to their parents. I also keep reading that the Sovs don't have enough hit points to survive in mid to late game battles because squads are more powerfull. In ancient warefare generals were on the field at the front on their horse and charged into battle with their soldiers. In modern day warfare that is no longer the case. Most often the ge
I get the impression the reason why everybody's hair is on fire is that because games like this are so rare that if it doesn't do well the liklihood of something similar coming out is diminished (supposedly). However, if such a loyal and powerful consumer base exists then I don't see why another developer wouldn't come along to meet the demand, or why the probability of that happening is so low. I saw this in the tutorial videos and wondered about it too. In this video (with Brad narrating) both the enemies run, one right off the bat and the other just before dying and yet when the "victory" screen came up, both the enemies got 50 crowns or whatever that symbol is...

check out this post: https://forums.elementalgame.com/394536 I went to the joe thingy and I was already logged in just because I was logged in to the forums, it worked and my avatar pic is up now. also note that Stardock employee GunslingerBara replied to the thread:
I've been looking into the avatar issue and I believe the issue is related to an authenti

The first video I came across was somehow of Brad and team discussing the map the day they got the pre-rendering in the mail. Someone pulls it out and it's on paper and he's all disappointed and then someone else pulls out the cloth one from the same package and he's in absolute awe of it. Classic moment and a great first impression of Brad and team. Made even funnier by Brad yelling at some guy in the last few seconds for coming out and playing with his phone...
No, seriously, I wouldn't be posting wisecracks at the moment if I was working for Stardock. In a thread where the CEO posts his everlasting and humble apology to the world. Guessing you aren't in the PR department.
I thought it was funny, along with many of the above. It was in good taste. It's sad that some people have no sense of humor and must try to take us down to their level. *wanders off mutterin
Quoting Hybridvitae, reply 198 What does Brad being away have to do with the majority of non-AI related major issues? Stardock employees aren't just sitting around working on a patch with no idea of when it will be ready to be released.
it isn't just Brad who was away, before he left he posted that others would be taking the weekend off too. And when they came back they got RIGHT back to work and BB made

In Master of Orion II you could create multiple custom races and then choose to play one of them against the others, or all of them against the computer by yourself, or add any number of players in between. For example you and a friend could each have four races against the other. or one race each against 6 AI controlled empires. I would very much like to see something like that. Trading technologies back and forth and having races that specialized (instead of cit

Brad's on vacation for a week, and the "major" list of fixes is pretty big. it's gonna be a while. Rushing is what got them into their current mess, rushing again and putting out incomplete MP is going to do more harm then holding it back until it's ready. It'll be worth the wait.

I only got to play GalCiv for a short while and I didn't use the forums for that, but I've read through (hundreds) of forum posts now and it's obvious to anyone who takes the time to listen that you (Brad) and your team really care about us (the players, which includes you too). It's unfortunate that the game got off to a rocky start, but the complex genre mixing into a new creature is already showing great promise, and it's only getting better with time. I expect a great many s

I actually read through all the replies because I was curious to see other responses before posting my own. First, I want to thank BB and Brad for both their efforts on what will become an amazing game and second for their communication. It's one thing to "patch" their baby, it's something else entirely to talk with players and allow us to become a part of the process. Too many people are asking foolish questions like "when?" - I'm hoping most of these are because they h
