I agree that the organization of the spells would be a lot better if it was organized by book and then by level, it would be a lot better. About the champions not having essence, well, that has to do with the cannon of the world. Casting magic is supposed to be bound to only a few individuals.
Either Achievements are not yet activated or they are just not working at the moment. Yes I was logged into my account in case that matters.

Maybe I'm blind and didn't see the option, but it would be nice to be able to lay down more than one section of land at a time. For large maps this would be particularly nice.

I came under the impresses several months ago that it would be possible to create a server with a persistent world. I'm not exactly sure where that came from, I believe it was something mentioned in the description of the game nearly a year ago. This is one of the things I was looking forward to, but several months ago i realised this seemed less likely, if not completely imposable. Am I wrong to think this, is it possible in the future to somehow create a persistent world
Well no luck, seems the game won't run on the netbook resolution of 1024×600.
Speaking of netbooks, will the game support the rather awkward resolution of 1024×600. It seems that a lot of games can't, or perhaps it is just the older games I try installing. The next beta looks, fun, I'm looking forward to the mod tools. I'm assuming the mod tools are bug free, it's the content integration we are to be looking for?

I've been thinking about this a while and I guess this is a good a place as any. I thought it would be cool, if it would be possible, to play a game with no actual opponents other than the world it's self. It would be fun to level up, spread out and explore, adventure in the world and only have to worry about the monsters and minor races. It would be a niffty and unique option. Something I obviously would expect to see till release, but some I'd like to have.
I was wondering if we should be expecting a patch today or not?
As mentioned, I'm sure they would like to have the game more stable before they add new features, otherwise, whats the point?

Had a question about the pre-order, maybe I should just ask support but I'm posting the question here first. I've already ordered the standard edition to be mailed to me, out of the options to upgrade to the limited edition it automatically adds another shipping charge on top of the one from my previous order for a grand total of $90. Will the shipping costs be recalculated to knock off the additional $10 before the final order is processed?
I'm not sure if any one else has made this suggestion or not, but it seems like it might be a good idea to patch this version of beta with fixes and tweaks and extend beta 2-3B. I'm not able to try out most of the spells due to balance issues and glitches. I'm sure others are having the same problem.
I kind of like the idea that if you defeat some one will essence then you gain a fraction of their essence, adding it to your own. Not sure it fits with the cannon but I like that concept, reminds me of highlander, I can see that fitting into the game without much of a change.
I have to say with magic implemented I find that having to expend essence to revitalize the land and then to found the initial city a bit extreme, the concept is great but the execution is frustrating. Perhaps it could be changed so when you found your kingdom, the essence you expend also fertilizes the land. Sadly I didn't take a picture. The tiles were right next to the original city tile. My city got to level three. In previous betas it worked fine. It was well within the boundaries of the cities power.
Despite having the research and both the tiles being right up against my cities, I was unable to use the tiles. I also had more than enough resources to build the structures. I'm not sure what else you need, but if you need something else post and I'll add it.
