Same problem here. Once a Caravan has established a trade route, I don't want to see it on my bar ever again. I do want to say thanks for having Caravans re-populate/regen themselves after being destroyed, that was a tedious chore I'm happy to live without.

I conquered a Darkling city and have been developing it. Problem is that the city generates 0 (zero) area of influence. I ended up working around the problem by dropping a few outposts. Definitely a bug.
I just find it odd that crystal cannot be harvested until Crystal Weapon tech becomes available. This is funky as you have to research Crystal Armor BEFORE the weapon tech, so a bunch of time developing a tech tree to harvest a material you cannot even use until way late in the game (In terms of crafting). Would rather see an earlier Tech to allow Crystal Mining followed by the Crystal combat tech. As for the Crystal combat tech itself having the ability to create lesser
2 turns in and crash. Yay! It's like a Lions game, you always know what you're gonna get.
Hopefully the Fallen Enchantress has Life Alert
I'm not sure how popular our concept of an RPG would be. We're talking pretty old school stuff. No first person. Just old third person, party (Baldur's Gate / older Ultima). Very niche.
There are great examples of turn-based RPG's that I loved playing. Baldur's Gate, X-Com, Silent Storm, Freedom Force. Most of the ones above seemed to lose something with their sequels. I would definitely buy a game in

And I respectfully disagree that context does matter in regards to presenting a list of utilities =P
In reviewing my crash log [see post above], it appears that the game is in part crashing as some textures and animations that are needing to be loaded do not exist. For Example: Debug Message: LoadHKB could not load file Gfx\HKB\Items\Armor\Fallen Armor\fallen leather armor export C\fallen_leather_left_greave_C.hkb because it does not exist WARNING: ( CXFileData ) FindRegisteredMaterialIDByName co

I'm still getting these errors in 1.19 as well. Here's my error log http://pastext.net/1966
Can we stop with the White Knighting now. Brad already admitted that there are reasons some people are currently experiencing problems. Just hoping that the next update corrects the big issues that are plaguing some people.
Good to know. It would be nice if this was somehow notated in the training window. Red X where applicable.
I have built a Dragon Roost and it will not allow me to build a "party" of Young Dragons stating that it needs a Command Post. The Command Post is built and that city has built parties of other units.
Last time I played a under the first 1.1, I ran into a similar issue. That's a lot of gametime ;^^
Here's my error log http://pastext.net/1764 Seems to be a nice Text Hosting site
This has gotten so bad for me since the last update that the game has become unplayable.
On the plus side, I see this error message less frequently as the game crashes more constantly from DirectX failures.
I'm getting this more often now with 1.11 than I used to
At least they didn't hire Ryan Dancey. That guy keeps moving upward in the gaming industry killing every game he's involved with.
Quoting BernieTime, reply 36Character Creation is currently meaningless. You could start with any random hero and it doesn't matter one bit. As your King/Queen levels nearly all points gets dumped into Intelligence. If you desired to create a fire mage (for instance), it's sad when the only nodes you find are water. This is contrary to my experience. It seems to me that there are two viable types o
The game has come a long ways since release. Congrats, and Thank You! Excited to hear about the new staff. Hopefully you'll also be reviewing the Tech trees as earlier style tech should be easier to acquire, much like your implementation of spells/spell books. Character Creation is currently meaningless.
another thought? I personally LIKE having differnt 'color nodes' I like the idea of both. You could either a) make colorless nodes more prevelent but WEAKER than designated color nodes, OR make cololess nodes present but rare sounds like the OP would favor A. Part of the reason of having colored nodes is to make the magic victory harder (not just an 'i win button' when you research far enough in the m
The change to having a global mana pool was an excellent move, but I'm finding character creation and spellbooks pretty lackluster. That's not to say that the revamped spells don't look pretty and all. In the new incarnation of Elemental 1.x, Character Creation became vanilla. Race choices exist that impact your empire growth, but as Elemental is inspired by Master of Magic (itself inspired by the Magic:The Gathering card game) the Mage Creation feels nearly pointless or jus
Frankly, I think its a little silly that destroyed caravans don't re-spawn themselves, and that they don't stop running when you go to war with a country.
This. Really hate the micromanaging of Caravans after they've established a route
Ambassadors get repelled from other empire borders like any other unit. Think they're not fully developed in the current builds. Caravans are okay, but they really shouldn't be able to trade with other factions until trade agreements have been made. Right now they pretty much can be used for spying. You really shouldn't be able to see what units are in a city, or anything about that city without developing other Tech (like spies).
