I like the idea of a merchant nation being able to hire mercinaries to battle for them as their probly be more milteristic nations around. Mercs could also act like the pirate unit from civ in that you dont know what nation sent it so you can have some covert ops like harrasing an opposing army while keeping your main armies intact. If you are a merchant for instance you can reserch a tech to help hire and keep mercs but you should have it that the most powerful mercs wont compare to a h
After getting a certain tech game will crash had problems with housing and iron weapons
it kind of sounds like summons like you would summon an air spirit and it would be a scout
not sure if this is abug or design but if you only have red techs you have a chance of not getting any breakthroughs
Confirmed however i noticed it dosnt do that when you build an inn lol jk jk however it did not do it when i made the palace
Well i said tabards since that would be easiest. Sorta like how they have it in mideval 2 total war where the only differance is tabards and their stadards
In the unit creation screen i noticed set items like the bandit and scout stuff This got me thinking of various set items and how they could provide bonuses to the unit here are a few i thought of Ranger: Bow and hide armor can move through forests without hinderance and can retret like a fast unit while in a forest Palidian: Sword and sheild, plate armor. Can cast certain healing spells and has a bonus to fighting death magic creatures. (can be mounted or unmounted)</
Well the Dev did point out that he wants turn base and real time battle so you could turn that off and on On the huge army note I fully support that idea and I would want to see a fantasy total war.
I agree that Teleporters should be built in cities because in AOW2 the maps wernt really all that big compared to say CIV. Teleporters should cost a lot and only a certain amount will be made by anyone. Say you could only build 5 teleporters in the world this adds the quirk of trying to capture them. The reason you can only build so many is a Warcraft reason if you build a lot you tear the world apart. Another way you can balance it is only low lvl units can teleport saying th
It could even be a tabard that changes color i think if you dont want to do armor coloring
An idea is that your channeler can make certain items for your units like say make a unit who could cast a fire spell with a magic ring of fire. For instance he could cast a fireball that lets him act like artillery or imbue his sword with fire to make him stronger. Now the fallen are described already so the tech is there to make some units like them say by imbueing part of a cyrstal shard in there skin making them stronger faster and more resliant. Also on a side note there
