I cannot be absolutely certain about this but I think I remember hearing that PSP8 does not support saving .tga format at a high enough bit depth. Perhaps someone else hear can confirm or deny this. I hope, in this instance I am wrong! I love PSP and would never bad mouth it intentionally.

While making .exe's from DX would be something many(including myself) would enjoy, can spending the money for this feature honestly be justified for an average user or even a power-user. I think that Bakerstreet is right and that a so called power-user may actually become a power-abuser if a $130 version is generated. I understand that Stardock is a company that believes more in its custumers than its profit margin, and they should be commended for it, but I think this will only lead to an ill-fated end for everyone.
There have been a number of threads on this, I think you should look them up. But probably the easiest answer would simply be to tell you to look in the directory that holds the bootskin program - there is a text file that lets you know all that need to make one.

This issue has alot to be said. CRT and LCD screen both have good and bad things about them. Maybe I better explain how icons work in order to give you the best advice. Lets use the standard windows folder icon as an example. This icon is a package of several icons images, each vary in size and bit depth. Now these sizes range from 48X48 to as small as 16X16 pixels and contain in upwards of 16 million plus colors to as little as 16 colors, with XP that even includes versions that possess alpha-blending. You could technically create your own in even the simplist program such as
I think you better elaberate further on this one. Icons are shrunk by windows itself, to be used for different locations. 48X48 used for drive and folder icons. 32X32 for desktop icons. 16X16 for explore tree and start menu icons. Are you talking about DX icons?
I like the image Style, really I do and I hope this isn't too presumptuous of me but, I think the image might work more for you if you were to begin by rotating it 180 degrees. Then for the title screen, trace the curves of the 2 points on either side down towards the new bottom and make it end in an upward arch. I don't know how I did it but I completely overlooked the fact that it read object dock, I guess I was too hung up on icons. That certainly changes things! I don't know of many in PNG format that are available for you, but, if you really want them, my only advice would be that said by so many others, make your own. Are you sure you really want to use PNG icons. PNG takes up more time to process and require windows to load the PNG process handler, which also take more time. If you ask me windows is slow enough, even with a top of the line machine.
