Was off on vacation and the old Android phone doesn't like letting me post on these forums. I voted "Good", but with reservations. First I need to say that FE is currently an entire galaxy distant from the "Proof of Concept" that was E:WoM. The game as is, is functionally sound. Aside from a handful of straggling bugs, there is nothing technically "Wrong" with the game, and it is fairly entertaining in short bursts in its c

I very much support this. Especially the part about how to respond to the demand to leave the borders. Too many times my Sovereign have been automatically placed on the wrong side of restricted territory with no known way back home. Even if I started on the correct side of the territory. I would like to respond as indicated above. CHiZZoPs also has a great idea. I'm pretty close to North Korea in my protectiveness of my borders against the pio
There was a poll a few months back about what to improve. I think the magic system was not in the top 3...or was it even in top 5? And of course if you ask people, they going to say everyone can be improved. But how burning is the need? I think (and i suspect the developer's agree), the stuff asked on this thread are nice to haves.. but not essential.
&n

Too many strange interactions with stacked armies the way they are now, and all the fixed that would make it ok include more popups and clicking.
I think a perk "tree" isn't quite the right way to tackle it, and I like the somewhat random nature of the non-magic perks. It's exciting to have that game where you get lucky and get a bunch of evoker levels, or double strike early on. I just don't think the magic system is benefitting from random rank upgrades. At the same time, I'm all for random spell selection of the spells at a given rank, so go figure that out.
Half the fun of playing the game is using your sovereign as a mage. Magic plays a core role in the game. But only one out of five specialization paths really focus on this ability. That seems like a waste. I propose two mage paths: one with reduced mana cost and increased damage. And one which allows you to cast two spells in a round. Note that this is a high mana drain path choice. You don't get the mana reduction, an

I agree with much of the above, but would make one change to the suggestion of organizing the skills and traits of champions. First, there should be a larger medallion on the left side of the skills bar that houses the "Class" medallion. It should be blank or non-existent when below level 4. After that, the next should be bloodline trait (most fundamental) Then Spells Then other abilities, grouped by type; Defensive, Offensive, Activ

I disagree. Trained units are very useful. You just have to use them correctly. Defender units should be levelled up as much as possible to make them nearly impossible to kill. Get you some Chain equipped unit of 5 with shields at level 10, and a pair of them will KILL pretty much any champion or sovereign simply through attrition (barring spell use). On a unit by unit basis, Trained Units have higher health and damage output across the board, and have the added

Very few of the per-level benefits of leveling up are really game breaking, except the rate of hit point gain for groups of units. If anything the benefits per level should tighten as they increase (for units, not champions) in level.

Yup, they grow as the world becomes more dangerous. It is why the environmental creatures remain somewhat of a challenge into the midgame. Very well executed as far as I have seen.

All right, we are stable again, I can play for long stretches without crashes, and get to reload save games. Time for testing. This newest version of the game is very VERY close to "Excellent". There is a great deal of good polish in the last few releases which have made the game look, feel, and act like a finished product (something that no Elemental related release has done before, so kudos on that). There are still a few significant things that really impact the feel

@GFireflyE: While I personally have absolutely no problem with the engineers build roads micro idea, I REALLY like the idea you put forward. It places emphasis on the fact that roads are tools that cities use to interact with their surroundings. The current system is awful. Not sorta bland, not irritating. Awful. I have been unable to complete a single game due explicitly to 100% (so far) save corruption. I have had one game that I was able to reload which then corrupted on the next save. I'm not playing FE any more until this is fixed, as I'm tired of taking the time to find passable starting locations and solidify a good start to lose the work to corrupted saves.

I wouldn't mind the leveling speed except for two things. Frankly, once a champion hits about level 10, there is next to nothing that can stop them except other champions of level 10 or higher, WITH really good gear and spells. Leveling more is really just generating a higher number beyond that. Doesn't really make you killier, and doesn't really make you survive better. The reasons it needs to not taper off are as follows; first, Leveling is how you get spe

I would at the very least like this to be a "game type" available to us. Not sure I would want to have to do it all the time, but in terms of what FE is story wise, it would actually be more appropriate to actually have to conquer all of your surrounding lands than the way it is currently structured.
