I tried cloth mode but fans still turn on immediately, which does not make any sense. I also tried XP compatibility, no change. I installed the game on my desktop computer which is an older AMD dual core machine with on board graphics. The game runs in cloth mode and cpu remains cool. On the upside, SOSE and Galciv2 run flawlessly and effortlessly. I won't be playing Elemental though and I'm pretty bummed out. As for that 8800, I got 6 extra months out of my card

As soon as I start Elemental my fans immediately crank up and my computer get very hot. About 30 minutes in I can barely touch the circulation grills they are so hot. I've had this problem with Tabula Rasa years ago and I quit playing it because I thought it was killing my GPU. And I'm pretty sure ANNO killed my 8800 card on my desktop. Now I'm on a brand spanking new ASUS G53 and I'm afraid to run Elemental. I want to know if there are any special configs to reduce this

A "Rich, single -player campaign with many hours of gameplay" is exactly why I bought this game. And here I read it's a glorified tutorial or an incomlete campaign. Farnkly I'm furious. This was $50 that I could have spent on DS games for my kids. And if this campaign mode is a tutorial, it's a lousy one with many long awkward moments of directionlessness. I have been ripped off. Unbelieveable. Shall I blame this on a Michigan union? Or this this just a good old fash
