I wouldn't buy map packs - why would I when the modding community can create them for free. I however would buy DLC that expanded the game in other ways.

Actually the complete randomness of each map makes it enjoyable for me. I like starting off on a "desert island" with very few options and tools to survive. So in some ways elemental feels like a survival game. And being underpowered and the underdog - only to rise up and conquer and tame the land, is one of the most enjoyable game experiences I have ever had, and elemental delivers that.
Well, I created a sovereign I don't much like - there are a few things I would like to change. I don't see a way to delete or edit custom made sovereigns. Or am I missing it and its right in front of me? I don't want to keep making sovereigns and have to scroll through dozens that I don't like etc.
Ah yes, the turns take longer on higher difficulties. The AI acts very foolishly unless you give it time to think. You can personally decrease the intelligence of the AI to boost speed, but that will make the AI somewhat of a dullard. In CoreDifficulties.xml, look for a tag called AI Intelligence Factor. 1.5 is the normal level. I have most of mine set higher. Personally, I would rather wait because otherwise the enemy factions won't be competi
Sean, Just installed your mod and began my first game. After hitting my first Turn I noticed the time between turns is dramatically longer. Usually at the beginning of a new game (in vanilla) the time between turns is almost instant but now takes about 3 secs. Anyone else notice this or having similar outcomes? I will keep playing and see if it gets worse or not.
Quoting Frogboy, reply 20What did you tweak to do that? The Core AI Defs. I made every faction get a big bonus when they are still settling. As the game goes on, you get some extra bonuses to your side of the fence and greater penalties to the other side. I'll just link the file: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?edka3qx8jxn74cq
</
Really interesting! Thanks for the replies. There is another recent topic here that is very similar https://forums.elementalgame.com/432833 It seems many players are experiencing this. I hope balances will come into play. I don't like the playstyle I am being forced into. It is narrowing an otherwise open/sandboxy type of potential this game can have as far as strategy goes. I think of galciv2, I rem
I think I needed to scout more. I may have got too comfortable with my neighbors for too long without finding the remaining kingdoms. Magnar must have been taking neighboring kingdoms. What a bully...
Played my first game of Enchantress and was having a good time. I spread out and founded a few cities along a river and made contact with 3-4 out of the 7 kingdoms. The rating was fairly close. I am not sure how these numbers are calculated but I had a score of about 35-45 and the other 3 had about 30. So I thought I was doing just fine. I was concentrating on a mix of Civilization upgrades and Warfare and felt I was exploring well and got to about lvl 6 on my champion. I established tr
