Quoting john97838, reply 8 I think anything that would take longer than 1 minute to complete, would be a huge time sink. Doesn't pretty much any turn based game have auto-battle option where you don't even enter combat screen. I loathe people like you who use such option but still, you can escape from actually playing the game.
not sure if you

I think anything that would take longer than 1 minute to complete, would be a huge time sink. In any thing over a med. map you will eventually have several fleet and planetary invasions going on in any given turn, would just add to much extra time. Having said that, someone mentioned that Star Dock got the rights to Star Control... So since I loved that game on my 3DO I'd be okay with that type of combat system, as long as the auto resolve wasn't too harsh.</p
I think maybe some of you guys have forgotten how long a galciv2 game lasts. My current game has war on multiple fronts with small to mid size fleet engagements occurring multiple times per turn. I also have to keep multiple planets clear of defenders while my troop ships make the journey from my high pop planets to the invasion front. If I had to micro manage each engagement I'd never have time to finish a game. I think tactical combat would be a huge time sink for players, the sca
real cities don't typically produce food in real life, they may process food for shipping and what not but they do not have the food production capacity to support there residents. right now I have all my guys in 2 different boats and I am sailing around in the ocean trying to find the gildars, i think, at work so it's not in front of me. I think they said to go east but it won't let me, so now i'm heading south out to sea, I've come to the conclusion that north isn't the top of the map... needless to say I'm stuck and I'm guessing the solution is really simple and that once I spend a half an hour sailing around I'll figure out where I am suppose to
I remember one day at work the woman had to go in and get new bullet bouncers (3A bulletproof vests) the new vest they were issued were designed for females and had a new contoured design ie there was room for there breasts so they didn't have to keep them strapped down all day in ill fitting armor designed for men. I asked one of my friends how she liked the new armor and she said "it's great now my boobs aren't sore" I remember another time playing WOW and a friend of mine needed me
