I hit next turn, and Magnar immediately told me to get out of their territory (I had been in neutral territory on the previous turn). When I next saw the map, my army was not apparently near Magnar territory. But then I noticed that a new outpost had been constructed that turn: The Magnar border was not properly redrawn to reflect the new outpost until the next turn, however.

This might just be a rounding problem, but it's annoying. Trying to trade a tech treaty, it told me that the perceived value was -37. So I added 37 gildar to sweeten the deal, and now the perceived value is -0. Even though the value is 0, the trade still won't go.
Problem #1 still exists in .951, at least with mage's fire spells. Haven't gotten far enough into a .951 game to try w/archers.
I have seen some small slowdown with trolls, but it's really extreme with larger creatures like slags.
Generally, I like the new tactical UI, but one thing bothers me. It used to be that if you mouse-overed an opponent, it would tell you, for instance, that it was vulnerable to fire. Now, instead of that information being expressed in English, it's available as an icon whose meaning might not be readily apparent. And you can't move the mouse over the icon, because then the whole enemy display goes away. Would it be useful to allow a left click on the enemy to bring up the displ
1) Arrows shot by archers and fire spells cast by mages appear to fly from the source to the target, but then another arrow/spell flies in horizontally from left to right, striking the target from out of nowhere. I think this might be carried over from beta 3. 2) The storm spell animation happens, but not on the target hit by the spell. For example, the lightning strike appears to hit a unit, but a diffferent unit two tiles over is the one that takes the damage.
After being able to save, quit, restart, and load the saved game 5 times, I just hit this bug. Same as described above, at least 2 factions were missing from the map, and the next turn caused a crash that did not produce a dump file. Since Derek already has a saved game to reproduce the problem, I won't bother to upload mine.
Apologies if this has been reported before, but I've been traveling w/little internet access and have only now been able to play the game. Opening up the spell book and clicking on the "Tactical" tab shows a "String not found" at the top of the left hand page of the book, as seen in this image: In case it matters, I installed the beta 4 update rather than doing a clean install.
Oh drat. I've been waiting for beta 4 also, but I'm leaving on a trip starting tomorrow, and while I will have some internet access while I'm traveling, I doubt I'll be able to download the beta. Oh well, I guess I'll be able to join beta 4 in early September.
I noticed this yesterday when I took down an Obsidian Golem with fire darts. Was wondering the same thing, but thimon2k's explanation makes a lot of sense.
While fighting Abeix, if I target Abeix with my archers, all units disappear as shown here: When I don't target Abeix, the units reappear.
The original amount offered by merchants allowed exploits of taxing at 0% and keeping up the gold by selling found items. But IMHO cutting it down to 10% went too far.
I don't know about that, but we all snuck out Friday and saw the Avengers together. Stardock is amazing.
And according to Frogboy, Stardock is hiring. I wish I was 30 years younger and a game developer, I'd apply.
Strange, after defeating 2 more groups of wolves, I now have 6 wolf pelts in my sovereign's inventory. There should have been twelve.
After defeating some wolves, the results window told me that I had 3 wolf pelts as loot. When I move back into my territory and visit the shop, I don't see the pelts in my inventory, so cannot sell them. I didn't see anything about this in the .912 changelog, is this a bug? It's happened twice to me know in this game.
You've just missed it. It's been a problem all along. There are numerous forum posts dealing with pathing problems, and this is one example of them.
The gated wild area is the location of the master quest, which I think is not yet fully implemented in this beta. You might try visiting the 3 dragon statues and doing their quests to see if the gate unlocks, but as I said I don't think it's implemented.
Yes, I got a meteor shower that damaged all units.
Sorry, couldn't keep myself from posting that.
The place with the gate is where you can win with the master quest, which as far as I know isn't fully implemented yet.
How do I get this breast master trait? I want to be a breast master! [e digicons][/e]
Is there any reason not to cast Meditation, Inspiration, and Enchanted Hammers on every city you own?
Only if your mana income is insufficient to support those spells, which IIRC, cost one mana every turn.
I attacked Magnar and conquered his him and his last city. I now find that I have a trade route with Gilden, complete with caravan, from Magnar's old capital to Gilden. Should these trade routes be spoils of war like that?
In the design units dialog, two of the female surcoats are labelled "Murchant Corset". Isn't that supposed to be Merchant?
Indeed. More in this thread. https://forums.elementalgame.com/422828
