I hate any build that centers on HoL
I understand where you're coming from. Really, I do fine before I get HoL, it just helps supremely. Less crystal hugging=more doing what I need to be doing.
First, I LOL'd at "grassy ass". LOL! If the nerf of ONE item can be so gamechanging (and I indeed see the reason why), does that item even deserve to stay in the game? Also, the way HoL is gonna be nerfed looks perfect to me - just limit how spammable it is. Now people will learn that hp and mana reged outdo the heart big time!
In any case, I don't think they should up the regen on it. Make it cost around 650
Boo swift anklet on TB Edit: Just a note, TB has a much higher base attack over Reg. Edit2: The bonus from switching to frost is 75 dmg, not 50% (But one can dream)
With nearly any bulid but this one, I wouldn't choose Swift Anklet for TB. That said, it complements this build extremely well. Who needs health when you can make getaways quickly. The speed also helps immensely with flag
I believe TB's autoattack in fire is working as intended (besides the up-close attacking). It's meant that you change into frost to chase for the attack power bonus. I do realise that this is quite crippling for pure-fire TBs, but I believe the dev's intended TB to be played Hybrid Spec. It just seems so much more natural to me as opposed to pure fire/ice, not to say that a pure build can't be successful.
This is just a defeatist attitude and obviously not looking for real suggestions.
I suppose I was being a bit of a defeatist. I'm sorry if I came off that way. I meant that a synergetic team is very advantageous over a bunch of non-coordinating DGs. This team is just very apparent as a very synergetic team, while not many others are widely known (to me, especially, as I'm pretty new). I suppose the metagame is still a toddler at the moment,
Accidental double post. Please ignore this comment.
I'd say to not bother with Staff of Renewal and just stick to Swift Anklet. That speed increase is great, especially when you get Wand of Speed and Boots of Speed to complement it. You'll literally be places you need to be within an instant.
Quoting Sean0883, reply 18 grassy ass Um.......what?
He means 'Gracias'. =D
Well
quoting post There probably wasn't anything I could do, considering nearly all of my team liked to wander off on their own. You answered the question for yourself. A team that works together is going to beat individuals most of the time. I think one of the best options for your team would have been to go on offense. If 3 of the opponents are killing your base, gank the 4th solo
It kinda seems like this nerf is going to hurt me a lot. The DGs that I have problems with (Sedna, Oak, sometimes QoT) are defensive DGs who don't really need it. It seems like this nerf is going to hurt the squishies immensely. It's also going to heal more, meaning HP stacking/naturally high HP DGs (which are what I currently have problems with...) will be able to heal more of their gigantic pool, whereas it won't help squishies at all, considering it already maxes me out.<
Well, the reason that you're doing a little worse with this build against DGs is that you're missing your anti-DG measures (Ring of Fire and high level Deep Freeze early on). No what I meant is my play style hasn't changed with trying the OP's build and I do worse. I do the support role early on, but since I lack big Fire Balls or Rain of Ice early (from spreading out my abilities in Permafrost/Fire No
Sedna/QoT/Oak/Rook teams are very hard to beat if they all focus on hp and they play smart. The stun mirco you need to interupt shield/heal is very micro-intensive compared to the mirco needed to apply these powers. It's a magnitude of 10 harder to pull off. If you have a regulus and a fire TB (and most TB are fire, bc it's easier) you wont have any stuns from these two. Also the only interupts that can reliably interrupt heal are Pestile
They're going to nerf HoL so that the cooldown is doubled and it can only be bought at the artifact shop. That should help a bit. EDIT: Here's the link with the HoL nerf: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355935
HoL generally doesn't have a problem, as you have to run back to use it. It's when it's combined with Oak's shield that it seems rediculously imbalanced, because Oak can just pop it in battl
Oak + Sedna is usually a big enough problem, because getting a kill on them while together is nigh impossible if they both stack hp correctly, what with shield and heals going off left right and center if things go wrong, you have two almost instant cast interrupts as well, which also have high burst damage. Throw in double priest idols and oh boy you're never going to get that kill. Now we bring in QoT which adds
Something I've realized (we all know oak is already strong) is that when oak uses his shield. That target no longer gets HIT. It may say absorb or something but when using the heart of life it doesnt' interrupt it. I just had a game where i played against an oak who did this and with 6 seconds of shield some killer armor and me as torchbearer (low health) he was pretty much invincible. Either he could continue fighting even at 500 hp becuase shield then heart of life or
For starters, I play a hybrid TB. More and more matches I'm dealing with seem to have oaks. Last match I played, the other team had Oak, Sedna, QoT, and Rook. Our team consisted of me (TB), Regulus, QoT, and UB. At the start, UB and I had some pretty good caps. The QoT was sheilding us periodically, and the Reg was, well, doing his thing. (I really don't like having reg players on my team, no offense to the good ones. Most just don't play a team gam
ive been playing TB almost exclusively since mid may. I've won significantly more than i lost. I only use pure fire builds. i tried this one and found it seriously lacks the damage and consistency of a pure fire build. and if youre not doing damage, whats the point of being there.
Like I've said, it's not made to be a pure damage build. It's primarily a speed capping/farming for upgrades build.
I've used a Hybrid build for a while. Before I would just go Rain of Ice, Fireball, Deep Freeze untill I get Fire and Ice. Then I'd dump the rest of my points into Ring of Fire er something. I tired your setup, utilizing Permafrost and Fire Nova a little early, and I have to say I'm doing worse. Mostly because I don't seem to notice Permafrost doing anything. When I get it, my opponenets are still running me down or ge
Against Generals, I usually engage them in Frost. I start out with a Rain of Ice to cut out whatever I can (priest minions, creeps, etc.). Then I immediately pop into Fire and unload all I have. By now, they're below half health, although I'm out of spells to sling for the moment. Many will turn tail and run when they see their health bar going down that quickly, but most Oaks and Sednas will charge in. Usually, all you can do is go Frost and let Permafrost slow
I'm a pretty new player, and I've been trying to find what character suits me. I played a mage (Frost PvP, of course) in WoW and an Elementalist (mainly Fire, sometimes Earth) in Guild Wars. In Demigod I wanted a change. I put off playing Torchy because I was tired of being squishy, but when I saw your guide with the constant switching between forms and gaining bonuses from doing so, I just had to try it out. In my first online match, I was the best player by far.
