Well, i sure hope Elemental will be released soon, just like most everyone here, but don't rush it. Take all the time it needs to create a great game. Rushed games never give great games. I've seen games released too early, and it wasn't pretty (Space Empires V comes to my mind, but there have been others). Sometimes those games can survive the time it takes to get all the patches released until the game can be seen as finished, but others die quickly and never get finshed. Yo

After my last CTD i tried loading the auto-save and see if i could play a bit further. However after loading the auto-save i can't play cause i can't move my sovereign (despite her having move points available) and i can't end the turn either (no matter how many times i click the end-turn button, nothing happens). Same happens with the "previous auto save" so it's shouldn't be related to the game being saved when Elemental crashed. Both saves are on my drop-box <a href="http:/

I know other games, even final builds have the same issue, but some others don't. It means something can be done. If Elemental does cede focus or allows alt-tabbing even during the loading screen step, it will fix the issue. Or maybe use windowed mode for the loading step rather than full-screen, and only go to full screen when everything is loaded and every process is working. Well i'm no programmer, so i can only guess what might work. I just wanted to port this to

Hello, i've just preordered Elemental and installed Beta 1z. During installation my Firewall warned me about this file (CryptoUtilAX.dll) being added to auto start. I was wondering what this file does? If i would have been installing a game that's crippeled by invasive DRMs, i would have guessed it's a DRM driver, but as far as i know, Elemental doesn't use invasive DRMs? Why does it need to register an auto-start entry? I must say i don't like to many autostarts as i try hard t

I agree that late game can become tedious, but i don't think "game breaking events" would be a proper solution. I think anything that can suddenly, and out of pure luck, turn the tide of a game has nothing to do in a strategy game.
