Open impulse, right click on DG, and click "open application folder". Once there, go into "bin". Find "Demigod". Right click and create a shortcut. Move this shortcut to your desktop. Once there, right click the shortcut and click "properties". In the box next to "target", add /serverproxyonly so that it looks like "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe" /serverproxyonly

That is two weeks they could be fixing stuff. As it is, they have improved the game quite a bit. Two weeks of nothing would not increase productivity.

The only downside is that if you live in a location far from any of these servers, you will be increasing your latency by a fair amount. Glad to hear you got your ports open. As far as people still being unable to connect, it may be that the problem is on their end. I have noticed that sometimes two people simply will not connect to each other but they can connect to every one else. I am not really sure what is causing it though.
Have you both forwarded your ports? Alternativley, you could use the proxies.
Connect to your modem in the way I described. You can connect your computer directly to your modem, but it is not necessary. For future refence, you can you type "ipconfig /all" in CMD without the "" to see your what your computer is connected to.

Your router should have a page that tells you its status. On that page look for something along the lines of "domain name server". That ought to be where your router is connecting to, in this case your modem. If you enter that IP as an URL, it should allow you to log in to your modem.
