Holy ****! This is awesome. Personally, I find the item workshop most impressing, because of the amount of options. I will probably spend a lot of time playing with that and with the Particle Editor. [e digicons]:D[/e]

I agree that rare technologies shouldn't be grey. Gold would be good. Or maybe white if the tech is exclusive to the Kingdoms and black if it's exclusive to the Empires.

Onlive is such a terrible service. Not only is it expensive, but the games look absolutely terrible on it. I expect that it'll be a huge flop.
I don't like the names 'Town' and 'Metropolis' for the settlement levels. Especially 'Metropolis' doesn't feel to fit the theme of Elemental. Instead of Outpost Village Town City Metropolis I'd go with Outpost Village Township City Grand City
I totally agree with this.
Someone is already working on a 'Spiritual Successor' and it seems quite cool: http://xenonauts.com/
If I am interested in a game, I read about it on forums, check the user score on MetaCritic and watch gameplay videos of it on YouTube. Professional reviews are mostly worthless. Often games get low scores simply because the reviewer doesn't like the genre (for example, he likes FPS and has to review a strategy game). And every review of a sequel rants about the game being too similar or not similar enough to its predecessor. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]
Looks cool! Can't wait to play around with it! [e digicons]:D[/e]
I will never get why people seem to be unable to read video descriptions on YouTube. [e digicons]:|[/e] ' This is footage from an early beta of Elemental. At this point, the pretty 3D graphics are disabled,...'
Rigma sounds very good IMO.
Do you have a source for this? Because if this is true, I'm screwed. [e digicons]-_-[/e]
This system is nice, but it shouldn't allow the player to accumulate hundreds of spell points and then all spend them at once, like other people mentioned. Maybe you should only be able to spend one point every few turns. (learning a spell that makes it rain fire from the sky surely takes some time?) [e digicons]:D[/e]
EVE Online EVE is absolutely brutal to new players. PvP is impossible as you will get one-shotted by folks that have been playing longer. Asteriod mining can be one of the most boring grinds in an MMO. And, the missions can get pretty repititious as well. However, once you accumulate some skill points after several months and can competently fly good ships, it gets much better. EVE boasts the most player-created content and sandbox of pr
Quoting Frogboy, reply 78We're not looking to produce a dumbed down console-like strategy game. As the intro screen joke implies, our goal is to make a game with the kind of solid, good fun game mechanics that used to be common a decade ago but combine it with the technology capabilities of today's hardware to create something new. Frogboy...you have no idea how happy reading that just made me. [/
My idea: You can build a special, very expensive building in your capital. Only one of these buildings can exist at a time. When your sovereign dies, he appears there. BUT: The amount of magic used to "beat death" is incredible. Your mana goes to 0 and the city with the building in it is completely destroyed by the magic energy that is set free. This way, killing the sovereign wont end the game, but it will be a devastating blow to the enemy.
