To add, I recently played a 2v2 game against 2 rooks on crucible, it was a dominate game-type. My teamate was a Unclean Beast, but he wasn't that good (I did 100,000 more damage than him, so either he got disconnected at startup and it was AI or he was new) So I was often trying to take on two rooks at once, while my teamate was buying potions I guess lol. Anyways, I died a few times, but the two main things that were damaging me were towers and hammer slams. They spread there towers

Well, all in all it could just be a bad match up, it happens rock-paper-scissors style sometimes. I wasn't trying to say you suck (notice all the Maybes?) that was mostly pent up rage from other posts. Sorry. Most of Rook's direct damage comes from towers which have limited range and no manuverability, or from hammer slam, which is something that can be avoided by moving. Also, as kokos said, Erebus has two tricks up his sleeve to avoid hammer slam or towers, which are bat swa
IMO bat swarm should not be able to be used near enemy towers. If they ry to swarm near an enemy tower instant death.
Me thinks you had a bad run-in with a Erebus player recently [e digicons][/e]

I do not agree that it is too powerful a spell to attain at level 5, because that opens a can of worms arguement for every other DG. I do agree that the level 3 version of the spell is generally considered to be not worth the point to into it. Level 2 is mostly important because of the increased ranged, not the damage increase. Perhaps instead of a nerf (which isn't neccessary just because the 3rd level doesn't have that much of a increase in beneift) perhaps there cou

Why is this post neccessary? I really don't care about Dota, never played it. This is the demigod forum. And why do you think people want 80 freakin' characters? I'd rather have what demigod has, 8 chars that all play differently. And oh yeah, DG better never get over 20 demigods. Since blizzard made WC3, you should probably email them and tell them to add more races to Starcraft 2, like 80 more. That way there's more selection, cuz it's apparently impossible to have a great game with

I don't like this idea, because a lot of maps are structured for the tower range, like where the grunts meet. That way you can farm grunts just out of range of towers. Otherwise it would just be an extremely annoying feature where towers would nail you all the time. Unneccessary and I really don't see how it would make the gameplay any better
This is something that should really be improved. You should be able to tell the minions to be aggressive, defensive or supportive INDIVIDUALLY 1. Aggressive priorities 2. Defensive priorities 3. Supportive priorities
Super Agreed. They should kinda play like pets in WoW. Sometimes they are a little too agressive and go attacking towers and shit just because we are close by when I'm simply waitin

Jesus Christ! Can we make like a pinned post or something on how to kill Erebus? I must've posted in like at least 5 different threads last week on ways to deal with Erebus, especially those players who are Rook. I'm trying to be constructive in saying that your thread really doesn't help either. Some things I've read the past week..... "He keeps biting me! How do I stop that?!?!" No shit he is biting you, every single Erebus player will. Only thing I can say i

You must harass the rook, that's all there really is to it. I played a game where a rook player who stacked speed items and was always trying to set up farms but never had success because when I would start harassing him, he would start running away after a bit. Sugesstion also to get some more armor because then the tower attacks will do less damage to you, also your creeps should you get that upgrade to, since tower strikes are normal attacks. With the large amount of mana reg
Now you guys are going to ask why no shield, but look, you can't have everything!
I would suggest playing a single player game on crucible versus normal cpu AI, and trying different builds using and trying skills you normally never would with Oak, as it will help you find the best build for you. Each DG plays differently, or should I say has their strengths that make them unique. Oak is special in that he c

Erebus is overpowered because he can drain health every 7 secs, and he also gets to teleport. Torchbearer is overpowered because he has tons of ranged nuke damage and can wipe grunts like no tomorrow. Rook is overpowered because he can set up tower farms and level up super fast. Sedna and QoT are overpowered because of their healing rates and ability to shield. Unclean beast is overpowered because his spit does too much damage and is ranged, plus he can blow up

As an Erebus player, the 2 most annoying things Oak does are penitence and shield. Penitence for the stun and slow, and shield well.....that's obvious. Erebus is already a very fast char, and he might've taken the swift anklet (+15% move speed) as his favor item, so he's very fast at that point. Of course he had bite, he was slowing you down every 7 secs, removing armor every 7 secs, and draining 300 health and doing 300 damage to you every 7 secs. Add that and maybe a potion

This game would suck immensley hard if teleports were uninterruptable or required less casting time. UB might need a fix, but then again, if he was just a better player than you, he got plenty of gold from killing you over and over plus experience, so he could've had way better gear and been several levels higher this entire time he was frustrating you. Which, in that case, you need to improve your skills.

You're onto something here, something that probably planned from conception by Stardock, but they had more pressing issues to worry about (as we've all seen) and some form of this has to be implemented in the future. Favor items really aren't too expensive, and plus once you get the few items you plan on using most of the time there's no need for them. Some kind of cosmetic customization bonus or other long term goal that players must "grind" for keeps everyone playing. But, stardock

First of all, favor items don't work at moment, and if they did, eventually if you play long enough you get the items you want, they're not that expensive ( at least not WoW grind for 40 hours expensive ). So if you already have the items you want, it's the same scenario. I admit I've done this myself if we start to get steamrolled, but only when it's hopless enough that playing the last 15 minutes getting horribly beaten all the way along just isn't that exciting. My thoughts

So..... Potions, teleport scrolls, and banded armor are gonna be expensive as hell? Idols too I guess? Great in theory, but I think it would be too much numbers and calculation, because a lot of those items are bought because they are cheap. Which often makes them the first item. I think this idea has a great initial theory of trying to figure out how much each item should cost based on demand and frequency of use, but then again is putting in large complex tracking sy
