lol...you've discovered Atlantis! To answer your question, it's the same as exiting a city. When you select your boat, you should see a bunch of unit icons on the bottom right of the screen (same place as you would if they were in a city). Click on the picture of your settler, then either click on the up arrow, or select a destination on land for them to travel. Note, you can only get off of a boat from a harbor, or from a beach (They're usually brown an

Yup, it basically steamrolls the beginning, even more so than the nature's ally summon did when summoning was still available at the beginning of the game.
I noticed an interesting bug with the individual units in a company dying off. Even though they die, the entire group's attack and defense doesn't go down. I believe the game normally divides up the attack and defense up amongst each of the figures in the unit. As far as I've been able to tell from testing, the game divides the total attack value between each figure in the unit, with each figure making a separate attack. The problem is that when figures are lost because of damage, the total h
So I tried out making my sovereign as strong as I possibly could, getting him up to about level 20. I finally got him to the point where he could single-handedly wipe out most armies on his own, but is he really strong? Sure, his attack and defense are both over 200. But is it worth it when everyone laughs at him when he's not around because he looks like a Mr. T wannabee wearing over 40 different necklaces and rings? I wonder if he knows how ridiculous he looks? Probably not,
I agree on the champions. They definitely need more character. Giving them special abilities that can be picked would help out greatly in that regard. Sadly, loading them up with multiple repeats of gear seems the only way to make a physically strong champion. And turning them into casters by imbuing them is useless, with the exception of offspring. My strongest champions are always my offspring. Why? Because they regenerate mana and health every round in combat and can start wi
The blue squares represent how many buildings you have in that city. Red squares indicate units. The UI took a bit of getting used to, but I'm starting to like it now. I agree on the point about unit movement. It's really confusing and hard to figure out where my units are going, and whether they've already moved or not, especially with automatic end turn on.
Also amazed by all the devs hard work. It's impressive how much the game improved from 1.0 to 1.5 in the short amount of time that they had! I found #2 odd as well. It looks like it's restricted to gender as I threw it on my hero and he was able to wear it. #3 I get constantly. Lots of quest areas that I just can't visit. Nothing happens when walking onto the tile.
I second this idea! Tactical battles are lots of fun, unless you happen to be running on integrated Intel graphics. Then it becomes kinda slow and chunky.
Here's another one for you to look at. Out of memory crash while playing. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7298707/Elemental0_98-2010-08-09T22-34-26-224.zip Including my saved game file. When I load my game, it starts at 600MB used. Every turn causes the memory to go up by a lot. I can hit over 800MB in just a few turns. <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7298707/AutoSave.EleSav
[quote who="Hackbar" reply="32" id="2554959"]If we go with a more traditinal turn-based, there needs to be something for players to do when it's not their turn. I would propose to allow access to the unit creator and city summaries at the very least, perhaps even 'planning' bulding construction and unit training to begin next turn. I would love to see some kind of magic that could be used on other players' turns, as well. Perhaps some kind of time-altering spell that allows some of your units
