After playing for a few hours i think that the xp talent should be removed and automatically applied so characters level up faster. I am finding the melee characters are generally below par in combat to the point of the game you are up to. Mage class characters seem fine to me.

I completely agree, this expansion has taken the game to a new level. Who would of thought that changing a few game concepts could make the game so much better. Thing i like the most are skill trees and heroes through fame. Tactical battles are definitely better Hording is a cool concept too, early on i was fighting an army of darklings and they horded around my spearmen unit and took it out. In Vanilla this simply wouldn't happen. Only gripe is that cover from range
This expansion pack looks like it fixes alot of the issues i had with the original game, even though the original game is still fun and addictive. The main changes that i like are the changes to tactical combat and the way heroes are recruited/leveled up. I also like that it is steam exclusive. Steam is great when you have over 200+ games because it does all the patching and such for you. I have bought games from gamersgate, greenmangaming, getgamesgo impulse, steam and in retail boxe
I wouldn't mind seeing a pack that adds lots of new equipment. New weapons and armour for troops and heroes. The lore pack sounds good though.
I am finding it very hard to counter Frost giant archers. I am not sure if i am doing something wrong but 5 of them can obliterate most armies i put on the field. Anyone have an ideas? Also it seems the ai builds alot of archers in the couple of games i have played.
I bought it for $40 and have already got value for money out of the game. (For Australians anyway) It is cheaper then most new releases and it's replay-ability is alot higher as well
Yep this would be a good feature. /signed
I prefer the fast patching. Smaller patches mean less chance of things going wrong. Also easier to find new bugs introduced by the patch.
Another city feature i would like to see is, putting the cities with the zzzz's up the top of the list on the left hand side, then once you have built something it goes back into list where it would be now There has to be a better way to do this!
Is there any way to set a waypoint from your city to a location? I currently have around 20 cities all building troops and alot of the micromanagement would be cut out if you could actually set waypoints per city so troops goto a location after being built. Anyway if it's not in, it should be added :)

This mod is great, am half way through a game as gnomes and i love the differences between races. One bug i had was i lost a battle to a monster stack that attacked me and the stack became level 721 with 14k hps. Not sure if that is a game bug or a mod specific one.
Thanks for this mod. After 3 games of vanilla i am looking forwards to a high fantasy setting!
27, love the civ and homm series. Read alot of reviews before buying e:fa it and i feel i will easily get value for money out of it. Also hopefully some more talented modders come on board, the more the merrier i say.
