Its up and still as unpolished as ever. I'm still maintaining hope though! :)

Hotseat yes please. Its just a nice additional feature that can come in handy.
With patch 1.1, I believe they are planning on overhauling the combat, so fear not. There have been many good ideas on this forum for how to improve the mechanics, and I am confident that all of these good ideas are not falling on deaf ears. Stardock are good when it comes to improving a game where it needs improving. I'm confident they'll do right given enough time.
I was raging earlier, I apologise for that - But I wouldn't call it nerdrage, surely quite the opposite? I blame my cat. He had brought in a mouse that I had been chasing and trying to find for the last few hours, and I was stressed :p.
While I know someone is looking, I'll repeat what I said I found in some other thread: I've notice that the ATK stat for units is not consistent in the way it is calculated. For example, the starting peasant design has an attack of 3, which is from a base of 1 plus 2 for its weapon (gnarled club), along with the pioneer, who has no weapon yet has an ATK of 1. However, other units that are designed and equiped do not always have a base atk of 1, so their ATK stat

You think it makes sense for the women who are in combat, to have their armour cover as little skin as possible? Sorry, but get a %$*&ing grip, get a girlfriend, and get laid. Pathetic to be honest. And no, I'm not some fe
The EXACT same as Single player but with humans.
I agree! An option for simultaneous turns (not sure how they could be implemented nicely though) wouldn't go amiss either!
I think the underlying problem is that once revealed, revealed resources, notable locations, etc. are revealed for all players. This means you get notable locations you can't access, and this means that revealing resources everywhere could help your enemies too much. If these notable locations and resources instead was in the game from the beginning but hidden, then only players with the proper tech could see them, then these issues would go away
Hmm, that sounds rather lame to be honest. Civ had a good system, where it revealed resources throughout the map just to you. This game increasingly seems to be falling short in many areas :(.
Such an utterly trivial thing to work on solidsmooky. There are so so many more bigger fish to fry first.
They are treated as a single unit, which is very weak game design in my opinion, and could do with an overhaul, much like the magic system.
You are aware that Starcraft 2 has very different rules, units, etc. for single player vs. multiplayer right?
That is a ridiculous statement to make. You can compare the campaign in Starcraft 2 to the campaign for EWOM, where they both differ greatly from the "usual" sandbox in EWOM or skirmishes in Starcraft 2. In Starcraft 2 at least, multiplayer plays exactly the same as a skirmish against the AI. This is what
I might have to ask for a refund if they are going to modify the game to an extent that when I play MP, its a different game. Surely if the tech tree requires a change in order for it to be fun in multiplayer, then its flawed from the beginning and there is something wrong with it in SP. There shouldn't be a difference between SP and MP, apart from playing against the AI to playing against some mates online.
# MP Specific spellbook 1. No Tactical Spells 2. Low, High level strategic counterparts to former tactical spells # MP Specific ADVENTURE trees 1. kingdom renamed “Exploration” 2. empire renamed “Exploitation”

Why? I certainly don't want this, and I think many may share my opinion on this. Multiplayer and skirmish should be the same. I don't want the tactic
Please please dont gimp MP. If you dont think something will work in it, just have it as an option to turn it off, while keeping default settings the same as for the singleplayer - Its counter intuitive to have different default options for MP compared to SP.
While the game is feels very unpolished and in much need of large revamped to various systems of the game, I feel confident that Stardock will deliver and turn it around into something very special, so I'm going to shelve it for some time and eagerly watch the forums for development blogs and news on patches.
As it is, nothing about the game mechanics are documented, which is a grave oversight for such a potentially deep game.
Little game experience, but so far: Tactical combat needs a MASSIVE overhaul. Its so bland. Also, some points: The differing terrain granting various bonuses to defense are difficult to differentiate from each other. Little to no reason for troop variety. Just equip them with the best stuff available and chur
It doesn't help that the manual is beyond useless. There is so much information lacking in this game regarding all of the game mechanics.
