I have a question about race creation, Can I be Krax blood and still get 'life' magic?

I was reading that mages are actually very good in LE. I have not really played with them as I like to work towards plate armor and wear it. Can anyone give me their ideas on a race and sovereign build for a mage class? Thanks much!

Thank you for the information Apheirox. I will restart a new game and try to build a mage. Do you have any recommendations on building one? Also, where can I get this mod "Children of the storm"?

Greetings. I am really enjoying FE LH with the three DLC, Quests, Maps and Loot. My questions are thus: How can I tell what version of the game I am playing? (How do I know its properly updated?) I have the map pack but I am really liking the 'large random' maps for learning. In the map pack is there one you like? I am not a fan of wildlands at the moment. Are Mages good at all?
