Perhaps when it starts looking really dire for the losing team they get a gold/exp boost? That'd be nice, give them a chance to take it back or put up a decent fight at the end.

Retreating is playing smart. But! You can, in fact, change the options to lower the exp, gold and respawn time, in regular skirmish games.

Not true. Most of your favor items will disappear and so will your points. The only favor item that didn't disappear for me is the one I use online (Heaven's Wrath). If you actually know what you are talking about, it may be different for everybody.

1. Yes 2. They will lag behind. 3. No you will not. Although, Generals have their own specific favor items and so do Assassins. There is a bug where you lose all your favor items and points if you play online, though.
