I downloaded the new patch today, which still hasn't fixed online play, and now I have a newer version installed than the many pirates on hamachi who I have been playing online with. So now I'm pretty much boned either which way, while the piraters continue to play together. /sigh

On the bright side there was like 15 full hamachi servers up last night and I got a handful of games in. Was quite some good fun. I think if the game is supported over time with bug/balance fixes, added demigods, and new maps, it will be an epicly good game.
Lol yea, the missing word. But I don't get it, what is is wrong with that second one?
I kinda prefer the dark heroes myself. Torchbearer is amazing, particularly fire build with -cooldown. I like to go for mana early on unclean beast, then for speed/melee later.
Perhaps. Before buying a new processor I'd recommend you try overclocking - the e2200 is very overclockable. I'd buy a $30 computer cooler like a ocz vendetta 2 or xigmatec s1283, install it and overclock to 3.xxx ghz. Should be able to get ~3ghz with stock voltage or 3.2+ with slightly increased voltage. If you still aren't happy with the performance, buy the E8400, and use the new cooler on it. The e8400 should hit 4ghz with a slight voltage increase, or 3.6 gh
That processor is much more powerful (relatively) than a 9500. Like nuclear bomb vs hand grenade kinda comparison. I don't like to break it to you like this but that's how it is. If you run at low resolution (1280x1024) with medium settings I imagine it will run great. It'll probably be playable at 1680x1050 even, but if you could afford a radeon 4830/4850 or nvidia gts 250 or something in that range you'd be able to pump up the settings much more. The processor
I would of gave it a 2/10 and then reviewed the next version of demigod seperately whenever it comes out.
my review of the game right now is 2/10. I'm waiting to be impressed though.
Ya I agree with Shuurajou, an official post is needed that identifies the problem(s) and progress and eta's. On the other hand if you're REALLY close to fixing it all then writing a post like that would be a waste of everyone's time. It's already been a day and a half though (for me).
An eta would be nice so I dont gotta keep trying in vain to connect to a multiplayer game to test if it works yet. I mean if it's gonna be a few days, let us know. It's been 30 hours now and I've been trying to get into a game and I haven't got into 1 game yet. I got into a lobby once.
I've been trying to grind favor points for over 30 hours now since I got the game and I still have 0 in multiplayer. Its definitely pretty tough to grind favor points in multiplayer right now.
Are favor points earned in singleplayer carried over and usable in multiplayer games?
I was excited too up until 28 hours ago. That's when I started to try to play a game online, and that's how long its been unsuccessful getting into a game.
I can't get in any games even with DMZ to my ip. I can host wc3 games using my port forwarding so I imagine my forwarded ports (6073, 6100-6132) are fine. Something's gotta give.
[quote quoting="post"] I know you guys have bigger things to fix atm but just thought I should post the bugs i've come across thus far while playing the TB. - In fire mode you can not attack while moving, this is not the case in frost mode or for any other DG so i am assuming this is a bug with the attack animation. - It is possible to get circle of fire below a 10 second cooldown with items/flags, however lets say i have it at a 6 second cooldown and cast it

I absolutely love good multiplayer games and abhor, and I mean ABHOR single player games. Single player games are a complete joke as AI is always ignorant and boring. It is very nice to see the game developers of Demigod focus primarily on multiplayer much like what Massive did for World in Conflict. Very good. Bravo...

I know exactly how you feel, yesterday I went to the store and bought a bottle of diet pepsi, got home and started drinking it... It turns out it didn't even have any sugar in it, why would they sell pop without sugar. I felt taken advantage of and I tried to take it back but they said I was trying to take advantage of them. Needless to say, I'll never buy pepsi again.
True, but its more enjoyable venting on the forums than staring at the menus in the game. I guess I can play some singleplayer for now.
Startup the game, intro videos freeze.. 30 seconds later your at the menu suddenly. Every menu click leads to 30, 60, 90 second wait times while nothing happens. You click on custom game or pantheon and after long waits you might be lucky to see game names or try to join in on the tournament. In pantheon you get an error, "player has not joined tournament, please use cvpjointournament" while in custom game you get long waits and I did get into a lobby once, which didn't fill
