Just jumped out of the Beta4 to tell you that it looks gorgeous, that extra bit of polish on everything. Words fail me. Got to go and play it properly. The change from 3C to 4 is astounding.

I'm guessing all of this would have to come post release as a patch or even as part of an expansion pack, but the line of sight stuff would be great and also having bonuses to terrain would add a lot more depth without necessarily causing battles to last lots longer. I thought Frogboy mentioned that terrain bonuses were going to be in tactical battles so maybe this will be in beta 4. Also some kind of attack bonus when attacked by something from the land map that was out of yo
The quests do seem a bit easy at the moment and it would be nice to have good and bad options for some more of the quests, the idea of using the King Arthur style system is great, it would allow a lot more creativity with out the need for lots of graphics and could give a lot more varied conclusions to the quests. The closest thing I have played to this is Civ IV and that was a bit to much of a numbers game, it felt sometimes like I was just playing with a spreadsheet and although El
This happened to me in 2 games also.
You aren't the only one [e digicons][/e]
So Markets will not just boost Gildar in cities with a goldmine they will also generate Gildar based off other resources that are possible to sell?
If you've ever played Ultima IV then you've played Elemental tactical battles in essence. Though you can also watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPnUd2kBcEo If you're not familiar with Master of Magic.
Thanks for the link, I never played Master of Magic and really don't how I missed it as I would have loved judging by the video. I loved Ultima IV &
I can really see the potential for creating remakes of Ultima IV or V with the elemental engine, the tactical battle system would work wonderfully with this. I look forward to having a go at something like this during Beta 4.
I really like the idea of building on resources away from the city, but make them need defending separately, so that you still have the option to snake and protect resources using the city protection. Also are you still planning to have a selectable bonus when cities level-up, if so can there be a visual marker of this in the city, like a statue or something that way you can see a visual reminder with a card showing the details of the option you picked. Apologies if these have
I can understand you not wanting to use Vista as it's a bit of a system hog, but 7 is a lot better especially the 64-bit version.
Have fun, should be good, not as buggy as beta 3 [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e]
Ooops beaten to it. I think you should get an email when your money is taken which will include the key for the Beta. You will also need to make sure that in Impulse you have the "show pre-release versions" ticked which is in the drop down menu in the top left of the screen.
Thanks Brad my keyboards F5 key thanks you.
You managed to get all of that done in 2 days, wow, you guys must be burning the candle at both ends. Sounds like you'll all need a nice break once things have settled down after release.
Playing now, it's totally awsome dude. [e digicons]B)[/e]
Definitely prefer the first one as the default setting, always seemed a bit odd to see the figure expand to fill the tile as you zoomed out. But it's always good to give us more options, so It would be nice to keep the option to turn it on and off, unless you are worried about clutter.
