I also think Blizzard is a bit strong at the moment. Two reasons: 1. Mage Trait lets you cast it in 1 turn (instant), also the Heart of Glacier lets you cast instant. 2. AI is stupid and won't use counterspell (at least I never witnessed so far)

Found this too, needs a change definitely... You can go and build your most expensive units starting with 3 and then upgrade to 6 for just some gildar. Basically you're then only paying half of the unit because gildar usually isn't the rare resource...

I noticed this too (found this by searching) and it's not an Yithril special tactic. Just do 2 things: Take Beastmaster and Earth Magic (you get a neat spell which knocks everything in a 3x3 area down, quite powerful even without maul actually) go get something with maul (like a bear cub). Then just go steamroll at least for all the time until you meet dragons, but by then you might have other means of taking them down anyway. I later also had a mage character

I had a battle where my Champion went to level 2 so I could chose which of the 5 paths he should follow. After the fight my turn was over (playing with auto-turn) and it was one of those generating an autosave. When I reloaded the autosave (because I actually wanted to take a look at all the paths, first game) my champion was level 2, but neither had a path selected nor could I choose one for him. Seems to be some problem with the order of, auto turn end auto
