Hello, can anyone help please...I've created the 'perfect' sphere in Photoshop but, when I test it on my desktop it appears egg shaped!!

Thank you all for your help...I've gone back to my wallpaper to start fixing it & I cannot open any of it's layers to work on the Gradient one...all I am seeing in the Layers Pallette is just 1 layer displaying the finished image & it is labelled 'Background' & it is 'partially locked'. What can I do to work on/access/unlock all the original layers. I saved my image as JPG. Thank you in anticipation.

Hi, I used a gradient in my design but it appears to have fine lines visible which are flowing in the direction of the gradient - is this normal? If not, and I hope its not normal, how might I best rectify this? Also, I would attach a copy of the image but I don't know how to on here. Image size: 1280 x 1024 pxls Res.72pxls Thank you in anticipation.
