Right now all skills are gotten in a lineal way you only need certain level to get them. What if you make that into an skill tree like Diablo or WoW ones, where you can only pick an skill when you have a certain combination of others: ie, to geet rook's boulder you should get divine strengh 1 plus lvl 2 hammer. Once the game has a wider skill variety for every hero, taht would be a good way to impede metagame-breaker builds.
"The problem here isn't that expert players beat newbie players, it's that expert players can make life hell for newbie players and expert players vs. expert players would just be mutual hell."
The problem is that everything does a hell lot of damage. It takes no time for 2 demigods to kill a single one, so that one cannot use his scape mechanisms plus the team would not make it to arrive in time for help. So you engage 2 demigods with a single stun, you're dead, period. <

The point is...as all demigods have a stun/slow build they all should go for it if they want to win in the metagame. In DOTA you picked heroes that could or could not have them...you had no choice: hero with or withouth stun. Here stuns are a must.

I'd rather like to have to upgrade citadel to allow you to get higher tier levels. So, one hero must be the one farming for their partners to get chubby. SKILL: The Armory Lvl 1 -> You get Lvl2 Tier items. Lvl 2 -> You get Lvl3 Tier items. Lvl 3 -> You get Lvl4 Tier items. Lvl 4 -> Items cost halved.

Those are just a few off the top of my head - but effects like these would be great. Of course, they would have to be "mini" effects (e.g. NOT 50% slowdown - maybe 5%? Not -1000 armour decrease, maybe 200?). Instead of that, % of activating those so the more minions you have, the most chances. 1% of 40% slow for 3 seconds...10 minions attacking with less than 1 attack per second -> no permaslow.

I have no PeerGuardian or stuff that firewalls me, problem happened since I installed Beta 3A (not sure if I played any non-pantheon match though) . Even trying alternate ImpulseDriven dll. I just reinstaled the game and the problem remains.

QUOTED MYSELF: IMO best way to balance Generals is to: -Minions should not have almost zero collision, they must impede demigods to advance and block them on sight. -Buff Minions to a level where the quantity equal to cap can actually be a threat to a demigod. Make them have passive awesome skills that protect his general: lifestealing for him, permaslow, ministun, a

It's not lag and it's not your compurers' fault. Game is still a beta, not a demo, and have performace issues, even more if you have sound reverb activated. Pathing, minions and stuff are still being worked on, and there are like a thousand threads suggesting ways for them to work properly yet to be implemented. Once again: beta, not demo, not OpenBeta.

I do a lot of trash-talk in this games, good thing right now I cannot play games other than Pantheon due to connection bugs ;) BTW, I'm from Spain (far far away from USA) and my ping is between 100~200 in a 6mb/300kb line. To answer the guy in the first thread....wait until release. Right now it's not funne except if you like beta'ng. And we do HELL love it :D @Frogboy: Stardock never answers me on twitter. You're awesome, the twitter boy is not x

* They towerdive easily...just lure them behind your towers and they're dead for sure. * Run away from you in the wrong direction: sometimes they go to the left or right instead of withdraw. * No teamplay...again. * You do not feel they notice your current status or seize the menace you are. I can take down a full-hp AI with just 1/5 of mine. EDIT: AI in DOTA was cheesy and passively overpowered because individually they will never

We need more demigos in general, now the variety is too narrow that the metagame is almost closed to a couple of teams and build.

that isn't really unbalanced. The rook just eats towers with one of his abilities, it him GAIN health while destroying a tower. You gain a significant amount too. That ability doesn't cost much MP and has very low cool-down time. So you basically can spam it on a tower to bring it down very very quickly. I don't think reg has any more power than rook in that aspect. Two light heroes that bring down towers with a snap of t
