http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-core_(computing) Dual core can run at 4.0 ghz but it may not be the case. As for the graphics card i'm not sure since I mostly use Radeon cards.
How do u tell if your video card supports sm3?
Easiest way is to check your specific graphics card. Although for radeon X series cards anything X1600 or higher has it.

Really to run demi-god (i'm assuming that's why you're asking here) just the RAM and video card would be best. When selecting the video card be sure it has shader models 3.0 or higher so you can run demi-gods. The lowest Radeon is a X1600 that has 3.0 SM. Beyond knowing that can't tell you much. Not that great with computers myself just know what you're gonna need to play demi-god.

So there is no way for a computer with only SM2 to run demi-gods? As I have a radeon X1200 graphics card but it only has SM2 support. Or should I consider trying to overclock it?

Will probably get used to the game on the 14th, most interested in UB and the Oak. May try the other but think I may stick with those two the most. UB for when I want to be a pure damage dealer and the Oak for when I want to be support (although sedna looks to be pretty good at it too.)
The lore for all the demigods on the wiki seem fine as is. For some reason I find Sedna an extremely boring and forgetable character though.
Probbaly because her story (no offence to the makers) isn't unique. She has a healing power and loves animals, can't get much more bland then that. All the other demi-gods have something unique about them. (QoT is an evil faerie, rook is a giant man corpse, erebus is a vampire with

Trying to improve my Vasari game as it's the only race I enjoy. Few question don't need to be a "pro" would just like some different opinions / perspectives. 1. Skirmishers: They suck finacially but late game I generally get a few due to interference. Should I even bother with them at all? 2. Subverters: How many of them should I be trying to get? Subverters are good for the missle debuff but I find they have a habit same with overseers, to run away from my fleet to go disable

1. Can't comment cause I play Vasari but i'd imagine you'd want them close to the planet so they cover it / they're easier to protect. 2. Yes it was because of the magnetic cloud that your starbase had no abilties. 3. You only need scouts to de-cloak / find the mines, i've seen overseeers clear mines.

Personally love Vasari, their main strength is mobility. Their entire race oozes it, from the subverters who stop movement, to starbases who can move themselves Vasari is about movement. While they suffer mid-game the most they're probably the best rushers and to me they're my favorite end-game race. With the kostura buff in entrenchment you can use your cannons to send your fleet deep into enemy territory in a moments notice. Their only drawback to me is skirmishers aren't that great early o

Against the Ai the easiest thing to do is attract their fleet away by attacking another planet then use two kosturas to allow you to jump right to the starbase then kill it before his fleet can get back to it. Although while I was doing this he surrendered cause i had 4-5 kosturas just on auto fire killing all his buildings. :/ Really with the kosturas it opens up a world of new tactics you can use to either counter or avoid other races SB's.

I was lucky enough to be the first target and even though I was 2nd overall in ecnonmy the guy that attack
PLZ STICKY CYKUR'S POST! This is a fantastic post -- I learned a lot. But doesn't it lead to the conclusion that Vasari are essentially the weakest of the 3 races -- not by much, but enough so that it matters - ? I freely admit I'm not a very skilled player - but not a noob either - and for my part, I cannot win on "Hard" playing as Vasari. I can win fairl

Kostura's are mainly good for the stun especially if anyone's trying to leave the gravity well.
