I don't like the idea of starting off supremely powerful and I do not like the idea of one enemy. Nor do I like it that there is no tech tree or design. Still, I would buy the founders programme as I love the series so much!
I think E2015 is leaning to more of a combat oriented gamestyle like AoW3. I kinda like that approach. You can see the similarities: AoW3
Yes but only if you think the return on investment is worth it and if it doesn't take development resources away from future GalCiv 3 expansions
Basically this. I don't want a reboot at the sacrifice of other releases.
Damn, so excited, GalCivIII, new Elemental game... If ya gonna have a founder's pack for new Elemental game, count me in. That said, thats some drastic changes, seems the new Elemental game is going down the MoM route. Which i'm happy with and welcome with open arms. Hopefully we will have more content too.
Oh wow, i thought it was my 3 games that were corrupted or something, but pre-Undead DLC saves worked fine for horses. Thx for the heads up!!!
Personally i find Sion one of the most useless units for Empire. Only reason i train them is to make them into Governors for party bonuses or sometimes Defenders for party bonuses too. But leveling them for those traits is also ridiculously hard as range units eat them for breakfast. They are significantly inferior to 6 man units, Sovereigns, Champions and even the Henchmen. Honestly i dunno why they are even exist in this game. That is, until Undead Empire... For Undead Empir
Yea, the growth/population is really dependent on where your spawn at when you first start the game. Personally I was lucky and had humanoid mobs for me to farm pop and get pioneers but after it still get super slow and stun the growth cos I didn't have death shard around. One thing that annoys me is how dead humanoid enemies will add pop to the NEAREST city. Wish we had a way to choose or transfer pop between cities. Always find myself unable to train pioneers from earlier cities
Well, Legendary Heroes was so friggin well done, thats the only name that stays in their minds, even me. LH felt like a totally new game and it was so much better than FE, even if it was pretty much a well polished FE with extra goodies....
I'm trying to learn how to play Resoln. Spend the whole day browsing through guides and threads. Also played 3 games as Resoln. Till now i still can't grasp the essence of Resoln. My observations and the issues i face: Most magic/mana dependent faction and the spells are extremely devastating. Most humanoid trained units(mainly the melee) almost totally useless due to equipment locked to leather. The gravewardens and archers still fairly deployable, but not via
Just created a thread to say im pretty impressed with all the changes in LH. It feels simplified but at the same time the depth is even deeper and everything is organized, i just don't know how to explain it, this is an amazing expansion. Everything is so fined tuned and improved that i overlook all the minor bugs and stuff. Keep up the good work! Pls continue creating wonderful games!
Yea, the spell is OP... the casting time, reduced max range and death cancellation is a good balance fix, but in addition to this they should give the AI a script to counter/react accordingly... AI is smart but more or less lacking in common sense... Fly away now Fly away now, Fly away...
Slightly out of topic but is there a way to equip your army with other armor/weapons besides the ones you researched? Like for example I would like to make an assassin unit but daggers are too crappy to make it viable for a normal unit. Hell even making assassin class for my champions didn't work very well as the daggers are lackluster. I usually went Path of Assassin with Bows =( Is there like some "Disenchant" system in game so i can integrate the weapon/armor
This guy can be found in Arena too right? I remember 2 days back, i got pawned hard when fighting him and 2-3 other demons and a friggin huge demon, focused on demon first, then when his turn came, almost my entire party got wiped. I also saw a "Recruit-able Champion" called Dark Wizard or something(I was Tarth), think the rating was deadly but i have been avoiding him. Thats him?
Thx for your reply Tuidjy. Hope you don't mind more questions from me. 2. What does it mean by your dominion regenerates the land? Also this means that I just have to wait for a Yield to pop up in my Area of Influence? What are the factors that affect the regeneration of Yield areas? 3. Thats pretty sad haha. My current playthrough has
New to the game, loving it so far, but i have a couple of questions and would appreciate your kind help in enlightening me. 1. I have 2 towns and in between theres a couple of resources that i claimed via Outpost. Theres no "Settle" area(one of the threads i read, AI can settle anywhere), AI comes in to one corner untouched by my Area of Influence, builds a town and their Area of Influence claims all my outpost and resources. Is there a way to combat this w/o going to w
I used to be strong supporter for Box/Retail games as they come with the physical items, i have a "collector" mindset. But nowadays, the convenience of digital d/ls and a most importantly a central platform to help me track/organize/manage my owned games has won me over. The only time i will buy Box/Retail is for Collector's Edition(like Sins). Normal and deluxe editions will all be via Steam.
