I've gone ahead and followed Frogboy's lead and created a small set of configuration files for the in-game map generator. From what I can tell, the new map types do not work when creating a new game and therefore will only work in the Cartographer's Table. Hopefully, a future patch will allow files like these to be used when starting a new game. Directions:: In the options menu of Elemental, enable the opt
ITEM #5 DETAILS AND EQUIPPING In the public beta, the details and equipment screens are combined into a single horrible, usability nightmare. image “The best shareware game UI of 1997!” During the polish phase, the equipping screen and the details screen will be different (you’ll be able to easily switch between them). This way, equipping units will be straight forward and efficient and the history of the unit and their det
ITEM #3: Usability There are all kinds of annoying UI issues that get in the way or make the game less intuitive than it should be. For instance… image Clicking outside the book should close it. There’s a ton of stuff like that. Beta 2-B users will get to see a LOT more stuff that is extremely annoying such as the way spells are managed in beta 2-B. The spell management will get overhauled during the public beta. It’s inc
ITEM #1: Making the sovereigns distinct from one another Making it so that each sovereign is very distinct in how they play is very important. The way we are going to do this is to make the Professions available and the Talents have far reaching (i.e. not simply “stat boosts”) effects. Thus far, we’ve struggled over which professions to have in the first place. For instance, the Warlord starts the player off with 2 sent

I started a new game, played ~90 turns. Built one town. Added structures. Accepted one quest. Recruited one adventurer. Then I build a an earth crystal structure. On that turn or the next, all of the supplementary structures became invisible, except the earth crystal structure and the main town structure. Picture
I ran into a random crash at turn 121.... all I was doing up to this point was exploring with my sovereign. I hadn't built a city. I only completed one quest, collected a few items. I'll post the crash report when I find a host besides dropbox. Link to debu.err here .. a
I ran into a misplaced or misarranged "tile" today. 1 - It was located on a thin strip of land also occupied by mountains. 2 - The tile bordered water, the mountains, and also occupied a tight bend in the shoreline. From further out. &nb
Simple to reproduce. 1- Create a stack of units. 2- Move the stack. 3- Only the top unit will have their remaining movement units reduced. The only time group movement appears to apply correctly is if a group is breaking from a larger group. Even then, it seems to only apply correctly on the first move. **NOTE** All of this movement is done of the first turn. Staring position:
When a stack moves, the movement is only reflected in the move points of the top-most member of the stack. However, if you attempt to move one of the others in the stack, after you've moved the stack, you'll find that it won't let you move on from there. Actually, the box to highlight the spot where the unit is, shows up where the stack started last I checked (although I was looking after movement, rather than after city founding).[/quote
Since the Beta 2 update [0.803] General Carrodus should start a new game accompanied by 2 Sentinels. This occured the first three or four times I started a new game with Carrodus as my sovereign. However, on my fifth? playthrough with General Carrodus as my sovereign, I did not start with the standard 2 Sentinels. Pic of turn 1:
I thought it might be an all-encompassing bug, but I made this post in case there is a specific bug after city building.
I created a new game. Selected General Carrodus as my sovereign. He comes with 2 Sentinels to start. I built a new city on the starting square. The group consisting of General Carrodus and his two sentinels moved one square to the south east to accommodate the newly built city. General Carrodus's remaining movement was reduced to 1.1 (The amount is discussed in a bug report here ). (PS. I can't
## UPDATE ## found a second bug - see bottom of post... I started a new game. Build a city on the starting sqaure. My sovereign (General Carrodus and his 2 starting Sentinel companions) moved off the square to the south east. He now has 1.1 movement left. Can Island Dog or one of the other members of the marketing clarify what must be done in order to satisfy the Facebook Fan quest? Currently, Facebook's permissions and security are a little rough. I've declared myself a fan of the game, but I failed to complete the quest since my page is label as private. Does anyone know if Facebook allows users to create a public profile with likes and dislikes? The only thing I can think of doing is setting my entire profile pub
I was collapsing and expanding the various event notification trees on the right side of the UI. At one point a blank tooltip appeared on the left side of the UI.
I started a new game. Build a town. On turn 11, I received a notification that an enemy had recruited a new unit. Is this intended funcitonality? I not sure if players should receive messages about enemy's recruitment efforts. The Altar Kingdom recruited a the unit Ratek:
On the right side of the client, there is a series of collapsible trees that contain notifications about in game events. Included are city, battle and diplomacy events. From what I can tell, the UI allows players to collapse the trees to reduce their size on the User Interface. Drop box does not allow me to "copy Public Link" either.. Do you have a paid account? I had to sign up for a free account, and I'm not getting that option in the "right click -> Dropbxo" menu. Can someone from stardock look into this an suggest a free option of public links are only available through a paid Dropbox account.

"15 year old and 13 year old boy" Lol... I haven't even had the chance to explore starting a family. My games usually bork-out before turn 230~ish and by that time my cities have hit a pop-cap. If my sovereign hasn't died from a random NPC encounter.
Post your DXDIAG to pastebin or something and then link it in a new post here. I'm sure the technical QA guys would like to fix this. See:: https://forums.elementalgame.com/364285 for more info under "what kind of detail should i give"
Agreed, Hopefully, the sandbox, quick play, and multiplayer modes ignore the storyline to a large extent. I wouldn't mind the option to start a game with mid-game seeded inns, but that should be an option when configuring the map.
