I'd like to see a new kind of spells, spells that requires synergies between them to be really effective. So a spell weaker than normal per se, but that grows in power for each subsequent, different spell cast on the same target unit/area. The final result should be more powerful than spells without synergies. To be good, these spells should be from different schools. For example, using something already in the game, casting a Guardian Wind on a Burning Blad
The reason is a special Conclave-building that gives +1 mana/essence - not sure what it's called but some kind of Shard-Temple which I think you could only have one of (1 per faction). And being at work I cannot check the name (also hoping that we'll have a Wiki soon).
There's a bulding like the one you're saying, and that's the Temple of Essence (Cleric - Shrine - Temple of Essence), allowed 1

with alot of cities and the food production tech researched you can grow any city to level 5, but maybe you're already winning at that point. A 1-grain fortress/conclave (no well/festival), without access to a river (pretty common) needs 27 butchers to get to level 5 (26 if Empire). If it has 1 essence available for the nature's bounty spell (native essence, oracle upgrade, scrying pool as you said) - 2 grain total - it still needs 23 butchers to get lvl 5 (8 to level 4). The

trade treaties are very useful in the early game, they're a good source of income when you still have low level towns. Caravans are worthy only if you dedicate your capital to gildar production and if you have 5 or more AIs to trade with (each one gives +10% to the income of the capital), but it will need the Legacy of Serrane trait (bazaar improvement ad invulnerable caravans), a lvl 5 town capital (not conclave/fortress) with 2-3 essences and the propaganda spell, the Treasury V

you won't grow a 1-grain city to level 5 because you'll need >20 butchers across your empire (when you have them, who cares about a single city anymore?) and you'll need >10 to get to level 4, so you're basically stuck with a level 3 city. A level 3 fortress with zero essences is useless to me, you miss the city enchantements for unit training and the production bonus coming with the lvl4 and lvl5 (a lvl 5 conclave with 4 essences and alchemist lab is usually the

I had once a drake's army in my ZoC that attacked and killed everything that passed nearby, enemies included, and never went for my cities. This, was an exceptional event: in all my other games the monsters happily ignored the AI, as stated above.
In game when two units are on the same tile there is no merge button! I have to move them to another tile to merge.
you can click on the ARMY word to open a unit menagement window where you can arrange your troops as you like. Another bug is: when you conquer an enemy city, sometimes the "Produce Growth/Research/Wealth/Mana" isn't enabled even if you've already researched t

when you first meet another sovereign your relation with him is usually good enough to sign a non aggression pact (if you have a higher or comparable power rating); after that invest some gildar to sign trade and economic treaties and don't accept tribute from him (even if he proposes it, you'll get a negative modifier), to maintain a "green" relation. This way you can avoid most of the early wars, but not if your power rating is low, because the AI likes a lot to pick on the weak. Ot
3) Order of operations. If I take out my lowbie troops to kill monsters and expand my territory right away, then when I build my more advanced troops, there's no monsters left to level them on. So I have lvl 8 militia and lvl 1 mages.
Don't bother too much with trained units' level unless they have a level based trait, because the late weapons and armors are way more powerful than a co
