AI is still stupid - it is easy to kill most empires in the early game if you act quickly. As a rule, one must declare war on every empire they meet in early game - then seek and conquer their undefended capital. Rinse and repeat. (I was playing Tarth, so no monsters attack me out their own accord, so I was able to scout areas quickly). Sometimes though you need to appreciate their cunning - I had an undefended pioneer once and AI proposed me peace (in exchange for pion

It is not a "fair" request and the only reason why you are saying so is because of your own bias towards the game. It is too late to receive a refund. No other company would ever do such a thing for just about any product so why should stardock? The refund business is always about image of the company. I bought AMD Processor for VMs, and then it turned out they had a flaw affecting virtualization. Spokeperson for AMD said no refunds on this one. Fair enoug

same problem happenned to me too. Guys, it is ridiculuous how disorganised you are, really. Is it a proper way to run software company? Not to mention that on my receipt after preordering, shipping costs were around ~12.60 pounds and you actually charged me recently ~13.60 on my card, whithout warning me first. What if I just cancel that transaction as one I don't recognise? Honestly, fix it. And I am not saying please, because I paid you money for this unbelieveable customer

Hi, I got two boxes with game instead of one. I seriously hope that you won't charge me double. I would have written to sales@, but after my last letter asking for refung I got no reply, so decided to post here instead. Customer Id is STA481, Order No is 235406 and 234622. I do not know why there are two orders but I do know that I ordered game once - but I changed address since. On both orders my address is current though. I won't say anything on asking

I didn't buy Mass Effect 2 because I didn't like Mass Effect 1, frankly. Their games became less complex, dumbed down versions so to say. No freedom, no complexity - no buy. There are people out there which probably treat Computer gaming like TV - show me cinematic, allow me illusion of interactivity but without demanding too much of an effort i.e. less clicks less brainpower, and I am sold. Well, Bioware decided to follow that path and give consumers what they want. I think in fashio

On Windows 7, one can right-click on windows special folder and change its path. So I did that, pointing My Documents to the similarly named folder on different drive (say, X:). Now all folders within that folder (on drive X:) have read-only attribute set on them (but I changed ownership to me and I am admin so it is not ownership problem). Dunno about prefs, will look. What happens - I save the game, then quit, then start the game again (is there faster way to load savegames BTW :D?)

I think already installed Beta3. It was like you look through fog, no details - big sprite so to say but no pixelation. Next time I see it, will do more detailed report. Cheers

I have TV attached to my NVIDIA 8800 as a second monitor. On primary monitor, resolution is set up to 1650x1080, on TV it is like ~1270x768 or alike. When starting Elemental Beta2, there was a complaint that my monitor resolution is set to 1270x768, then the game will run on my primary monitor, but somehow at the max zoom (when map is not cloth anymore) things would look soapy and somehow definitely not for 1650x1080. HTH, August P.S. System was

Was all right in Windows XP (I dual boot). I think it might be related to my "My documents" special folder being redirected to different drive, which for some reason makes the real folder behind the link to have read-only attribute (I am administrator and owner of the said folder and all its files). This read-only attribute in Windows crippled family of operating systems may be safely ignored. It looks like 90% of games just ignore it and save anyway and everyone is hap
