1: for a game called War of magic: magic is underwhelming. 2: Champions should feel like champions. Currently I have pretty much stopped using anything but the ones you leave in town. + to food or what have you. A stack of peasants should NEVER be better then a champion. NEVER. 3: Shards not working right in tactical should be sorted out.

Each unit in stack should have attack/def and hitpoint pool so that as it wears down it gets weaker. Make attacks hit auto on a certain result. like d20 where a 20 always hits meaning even a peon farmer has a 5% chance to hit. frog you should do some genetic algorithm AI scripting and have them fight each other for 100's of generations, then secretly have them play real people via multi-player for 100's of generations. I want an AI that with no cheating is able to kick my ass every time. Have that be the Nightmare difficulty.

One thing I have always thought was needed is a simple progress bar. I do not care if loading/world building takes a while BUT it there is no feedback you start wondering if the game has simply hung. So loading screen should have some visible method of showing me that its doing something. Then if it takes a minute at least I do not start to think something has gone wrong. FKN William

I agree that some sort of que for spell learning is a must. personally I would do it just like MoM where learning spells takes longer then it currently does in elemental. ie not click and gain spell. rather click and wait a few turns and gain spell. When you gain a spell have a cut scene thing that shows you gaining it (like MoM); then force the choice for the next spell so that you cannot forget. currently I forget to learn the next spell fairly often which means I am losing valuable

Factions and Races please. Both customizable please. Options = good. Not REQUIRING you to use those options = great. My favorite part of MoM was customizing my spellcaster and picking a good race. [halflings for the win!] If I could have customized my race as well? I would have been in heaven.

I feel like I should chime in to add my support for traits combining in possibly unexpected ways. What I would do is have the stated trait be the dominant trait gained. I would have 1-3 recessive traits attached to them that are hidden. When you pick two traits that have the same recessive trait it becomes a dominant trait. You could even have it use weighted random choices for the recessive traits. Additionally I think it would be preferable to have these recessive tr

Tried deleting the movie files to see if that would help, nada. So other then trying to delete one file at a time in the screens folders until I get it to work I have no clue how to proceed. family tree file doesn't seem to be the culprit for me.

updated drivers and attempted to run. nada deleted screens from program data and program files: ran update to reload. nada deleted family tree files as some above have had success with. nada. I have never gotten past title screen yet. also I do have an open connection to the internet. there should be no firewall issues. Is there a way to test that? AFAIK everything should be working right on that front. delet

Have run it now about 12 times Always crashes at the same point. I have run it from a shortcut with and without the -w switch for windowed mode. I have also run it from the .exe directly I have run it in XP compatibility mode and also tried running as administrator I have also tried messing with some of the prefs in the .ini file but no changes so far seem to have helped. Skiping the intro for example. <
