Not that it justifies the purchase, but since it hasn't been mentioned yet; angels are excellent at harassing DG:s with a HoL. I've found that I usually have to put some distance between myself and the enemy base before using the Heart of Life.
I agree on both counts, I typically play UB and I feel like there's really no chance of me taking down either Qot or Sda until the late game because of the reasons mentioned,
Actually, I find Sedna and QoT (and Regulus) to be the easiest demigods to kill with UB. It all depends on your skill allocation. Unless you stack HP items, UB is heavy-hitting but fragile.
Say after me: I. Am. A. Troll.
Hentai? Here at Demigod? I'm disgusted to say the least; I remember the episode when UB partakes in an BDSM session over at regulus'; I'm especially disturbed about the role Sedna's cat plays in that scene. Perverse. Unethical. And contrary to nature. Back in the more civilized times, cats did it with cats, angels with angels and UB with dogs. And none of us did it *just* for fun, of course.
And yes, I really am that good and the reason I posted this is because the game is a joke when my team plays Oak with Sedna and it is baffling that it isn't obvious that Oak is the best demigod out there even without Sedna backup. In my opinon the Demigod community is woefully underskilled in general compared to other RTS's, so I guess it shoudn't be surprising that the boards are so poorly informed.
Instant classic!
Ooze should deactivate as soon as the next till will kill you.
That's actually a very good idea.
Naturally, constructive pointers are the way to go; though when in battle (it's an arena, after all), it can be a little difficult to spell out pointers in a fashion that aren't prone to being misread as rude. "Push here?", "Let's team up!" are easy to understand, but "Don't buy priests." is much more misleading - I am after all intending to say something along the lines of "For future reference, it's generally considered a bad idea to buy priests early, as they feed the enemy with XP.". I'm
"dont ping google when ur joining" Because that uses so much bandwidth huh?
No, because it's distracting you from the game [e digicons][/e] What kind of connection do you have? What's your upstream like? Router? If possible, try connecting directly to your modem, without going through the router, and disable the firewall. If that helps, you may try plugging in the different systems
Great news! So, this coupon - should I give it to a friend - and he conducts the purchase - or should I buy it for him and then somehow transfer my copy to him through impulse? If so, how do I do that?
hat's the point of the OP - the enemy is attacking and "touching" the UB. It is pure happenstance that the "killing blow" occurs due to ooze in between enemy attacks. The enemies that were attacking should at least get the assist reward when this occurs. Do they?
Precisely, many misread and seem to think that I intentionally suicide for some abstruse reason - thanks for pointing out. But, no - no money is credited to the enemies; as I wrote in my original pos
To clarify, what I meant; I sometimes "accidently" suicide when in a terminal battle - it is not intentional, or by any means a way of voiding the money for the kill; it just sometimes happen. Naturally, I'd much rather flee from a losing battle - even if I could intentionally suicide.
You download updates via Impulse (you know, the steam-alike platform); it's quite smooth. 512kb upstream or downstream? What's most important is the upstream, as you can always be sure that the upstream at the very least matches the downstream. 512kb up should indeed suffice. Many ISP:s only advertize the downstream. If unsure, have a look over at http://speedtest.net/
If that thing bred, I would be rather scared and more than a little disturbed.
Amen. As for it being a valid strategy - I'm not so sure. In the midst of battle there's no way to decide if you're going down by your enemies' weapons or your own foul stench; it almost work like a x% kill dodge. If it is intended, I'd like it to show up under the UB's strengths...
So, there is some evidence to suggest that UB is gay? Should add it to his lore, or rumours.
Having had some fun with a ooze-centric UB build recently, I sometimes - during battle - end up suiciding when low on health; whereby the opposing team receives no gold. In the last game in which it happened, the other team resorted to the usual assortment of verbal assault, though I seriously doubt there's a study to prove that the homosexual demographic are more inclined to commit suicide (they didn't put it in so many words, but you get the drift). I assume it would be fair
So, now that an increasing number of people realize that the UB works just as well as, or better, without spit - we should nerf ooze! The UB is a pscyhological warmachine; both spit and ooze display the tendency of driving enemy DG:s away, even when it's maybe not warranted. Ooze scales exceptionally post midgame; the decrease to attack speed severely impedes the efficiency of anyone in close proximity.
I tried a melee/ooze-centric build, though with some modifications. I generally tend to get the first plague skill, just to make the Heart of Life a little less useful. Not having to care aboit mana items is very nice. And ooze is great for crowd control, especially when facing more powerful creep and Oak's spirits. During my initial try, I crushed the opposing team, though they were clearly quite new to the game, but it will be interesting to try against more experienced players. I i
Being an OK-ish UB character myself, I must confess that a skilled Oak or Regulus gives me the chills. Those who haven't mastered Regulus yet are however among the easier newcomers to kill - Regulus is even squishier than my dog.
I tend to prefere the more talkative games; granted I sometimes entertain writing a few semi-informative updates on what I'm doing. Though I'd never insult a teammate for being new to the game (or any other reason, for that matter). Insults tend to be counter-productive.

Squishy Greetings, Wouldn't a better solution be to nerf the good players? I always lose against really good players - I suspect they're cheating by attacking me in union. Sarcasm aside, playing UB almost exclusively in MP games, I value the psychological/demoralizing effects of spit: If I spit on you, you run away because it hurts, giving me free reign in the area without exposing me to any greater risk. From my own experiences with being spat upon (it's humiliating), my chie
But, does Impulse work under Linux? I was under the impression it didn't.
The concept of kill stealing has never crossed my mind in a game like Demigod. All involved get gold regardless, albeit not as much as the DG giving the killing blow. Not to mention the fact that a dead demigod just sits passively in the nether, not even keeping up with the bookkeeping. I say, I invite you to steal my kill any day. We can debate whether it was the right course of action after winning the match.
Wouldn't it be nice though, if a player could be temporarily banned from MP games for a specified period of time. Naturally, this should only happen after carefully reviewing the match logs. The second best option is of course a mute option.
As has been suggested many times before, part of the connectivity problems may actually be due to the ISP. Maybe it would be a good idea to state the provider and connection type? Or maybe stardock/gpg have already analyzed the connection logs looking for patterns? Personally, I'm on a 24/10 cable connection from Swedish ISP ComHem; I've only experienced minor connectivity issues since the first public version, though I think it connects faster now.
