The second thing you're looking for (extending the app screen to show the map on one monitor and pieces of the UI in another) is a different feature and something I've only seen in WoW. Really nice, but not widely supported.
Heh, the one instance I've run into it is actually in Supreme Commander (1 & 2), though in that one you basically have two fully zoomable command windows [e digicons]:P[/e]

Since it was mentioned that Nvidia has issues with advanced lighting, I figured this may still be under the radar: With AA and Adv. Lighting I managed to get a strangely white screen for 3d graphics (as well as 3d models missing from sovereign selection and what have you). Examples below, dxdiag here (Radeon 5770 CrossfireX). <img src="http://koti.mbnet.fi/destro/elemental/missing_3d_model
Now this may be something I've misunderstood, since English is not my native language, but shouldn't the shopkeeper greet you with a m'lady instead of m'lord if you're playing with a female sovereign? Not sure if this is an issue elsewhere, but this is what I ran into immediately.
There's a small overlap that can interfere with a bit of text in opponent selection. A minor issue, but noticeable.
For who knows what reason, smoothing fonts likes to stack with anti aliasing (which has other issues, see here ). The end result is unreadable for some windows, as seen in the accompanying picture. This can be averted by disabling either font smoothing or antialiasing. Also, the performance of the main menu background seemed to drop quite a bit when in kingdom selection (from where the pic is) <img src="http://koti.mb
This is a really common issue in a lot of non-FPS/TPS games, and is less of an issue here since it's turn based (so you won't accidentally hit outside in haste), but it would still be nice to lock the mouse to the main screen/application, especially in fullscreen mode.
I have a similar issue on my desktop, but for me the cloth map is black and I can see all the objects/borders on it (due to crossfire?) dxdiag: here
Particle editor? Hoo, count me intriqued.
Did you leave out the frame-rate limiter in the cloth map? I seem to be getting overheating GPU errors an awful lot when I play the game.
Um... That should never happen. You should check if you have proper air flow and possibly remove excess dust from the fans and components.
Perhaps it's the fact that I didn't (unfortunately) get into beta 1 as the game went under the radar for me, but I find the post kinda funny, as anyone else would probably go "Here comes beta 2 and it is even more awesome than you thought it could be!" [e digicons][/e] (It might be due to me belonging to the older school of gamers? Still, I find nothing to apologize here. Rather, it seems to me to be more of an issue of marketing thinking about the modern "beta tests" that
