Do you mean as in how consistent the graphics are throughout the skin, or how the skin actually sticks to a theme like "sci-fi"?

I think the reason Winamp skinners are being so vocal on this issue is because they are seeing their category being misunderstood and somewhat misrepresented. Yet some of these people are indeed hard working veterans and dismissing their opinion as the usual "post contest denial" seems very near-sighted. There are different issues at hand here. I have to say some of these results seem somewhat disappointing to me but as StillWater nicely put it, we can't really do anything at this point and there is no way to make everyone happy. Lets just hope the last events will more justly represent the popular opinion on some of these categories.

They are great skins but they haven't been entered in that category :P In any case, I would personally say Impulse but that's no surprise :)Other than that, I would have to say Resurgence and Cardium which are two very well crafted skins. But for a power user, I think this is where Impulse really excels. it depends what you're aiming for. I know I'm probably only going to enter one skin, but it wouldn't be much different if I had another month... I think the deadline is fine as it is, I'm predicting most skins will turn up within a week of judging.
