Thanks for reading my post. :) I really like the ideas you have even if you didn't agree with some of my suggestions. How I wish the devs at Sins would add another race to the field. By the way, are you planning to give pirates a major part in your novel? Though it's pretty obvious that they take advantage of any race that suits their fancy, depending on who pays the highest bid, it would be great if the pirates themselves consist of different factions that try to outdo each other and

I've never liked Internet Explorer since hackers love exploiting the poor thing. Go for Mozilla Firefox. That's the web browser I use and it works fine with Impulse.

That's what the latest patches of Sins did: strengthen AI. Heck, in Entrenchment, pirates are powerful. Not even 3 capital ships matched with 30 frigates are sufficient to decimate their entire fleet. And that's not even multiplayer. The improved AI is what many Sins players have always rooted for. I suggest that you master dealing with the AI in single player first, exploiting its weaknesses.

For the Vasari, I suggest that ranks within the said race are a mere facade, whose sole purpose is to misdirect their enemies who are "genetically predisposed" to viewing strict adherence to leadership ranks as the only means to achieve anything. In truth, they treat each other equally, since their sole obsession is domination. They are unfazed whether "high ranking" officials die or get wiped out, unlike the TEC or the Advent whose strict adher

There are new updates for both the retail version of Entrenchment and the original Sins on Impulse . For Entrenchment it is 2 mb, while for the original Sins it is 10 mb. What kinds of updates are these anyway? [e digicons]o_O[/e]

Another change I wish to see is that after we have numbered our fleets using the keyboard, it would be great if when we press a number, we are brought at once to the fleet itself, instead of the system in which the fleet is located. Or, if it would work for aesthetic or loading purposes, one tap of a key would bring us to the system, while a second tap would bring us to the fleet itself.
Trying to buy it here and it keeps saying stuff about shipping How do I go about downloading entrenchment?
There's no need to worry. After ordering Entrenchment, the window would automatically show that you would download it online, through Impulse. Impulse is specifically meant for the download of games and other applications anyway.

Would it be possible for Stardock to include in the manual tomorrow a way to burn Entrenchment into a DVD disc? Sometimes we need to reformat our PCs and it would be faster to install the game from a DVD. Stardock could find a way to make sure that no pirated copies could be made, such as the requirement that after we install Entrenchment from a DVD, it becomes a requirement that we register the product online for activation purposes. <

As of this time, it is still beta. What I have done is install the original Sins and its updates, but not Entrenchment beta, since it would be a waste of time installing the beta version when the final retail product would be released today (hopefully). Impulse automatically updates the original Sins that you installed with Entrenchment if you wish to do so. But I suggest that you wait for the final retail version before doing so.

It is officially February 25th. I hope that Entrenchment final retail gets released today. Come to think of it, it has been delayed six times, but for good cause though. We can't wait to try its final version. More power to Ironclad and Stardock!

I like to see booster trails (whether of different colors, or one color of different intensities) which could help us distinguish one class of ships from another. It would help a lot when using cinematic mode, particularly when we have dozens of ships on screen and we would like to prioritize destroying specific ships of the opposing team.[e digicons][/e]

I have a suggestion to make it easier for us to distinguish one class of ships from another, especially in viewing dozens of them from afar in the heat of battle, particularly in CINEMATIC mode: make the booster trails sharper and use different colors for or different intensities of the same color for booster trails to help distinguish one class of ships from the rest (i.e., capital ships have brighter/sharper booster trails than other classes). </s

The unique way Sins has transformed space simulation strategy gaming could be applied in any of the popular space adventures today. I'm just saying: Gene Roddenbery (Heaven bless him) or George Lucas would piss in their pants if their space battles have the look and feel of Sins of a Solar Empire. I am pretty aware that there is a group out there working on Star Trek mods for Sins. Why not Stardock go the extra mile and do it themselves? Still, if most of the profits go to the

Check this out. IGN says that Entrenchment's final version would be released NEXT WEEK, February 4th! http://pc.ign.com/articles/948/948209p1.html I still have doubts about it though, for the placeholder dates are, well, placeholder dates and could hardly be trusted as the actual release dates.
