Reply to MAPS in FE Modding

I tried to make some using the included map editor. It's umm... quirky?

MyDocuments/MyGames/FallenEnchantress/Mods or MyDocuments/MyGames/FallenEnchantress/Race. There is a faction editor why not just use that. It will automatically place stuff in MyDocuments/MyGames/FallenEnchantress/Race. Also units created in-game are placed in the MyDocuments/MyGames/FallenEnchantress/Units file. There is a race editor kicking around as well. https://forums.elementalgame.com/433305 .

If you mean the new one you are creating then it's probably better just to place them in MyDocuments/MyGames/FallenEnchantress/Units. If possible it's better not to change the corefiles. Just copy the code from CoreUnits and place it into a file in MyDocuments/MyGames/FallenEnchantress/Units, and then edit it. Make sure to change the internalname or it will overwrite the champion you copied it from.

MyDocuments/MyGames/FallenEnchantress/Units is where units you create in-game are stored. If you look at the XML it is pretty self explanatory actually. Just ask if there is something you don't understand.

It's fine although there is room for improvement since this is a game with like 100 spells, monster, and items.
I dont think you need to change the game to get rid of the option for a stack of doom, since there are countless strategies that could be deployed to counter such a tactic. You could work units behind such a stack and take the under defended cities behind that stack. You could create muktiple smaller stacks to destroy the trade routes and to take any outposts, use spells that do damage to stacks on the strategic map, use spells to h
Yet I feel the whole thing ended in a cliffhanger (Yes, the cliff where the continent split in half *shot*) and while I know that WoM's own campaign is supposed to be next chronologically speaking, is there going to be some sort of official follow up? Like Relias convincing Procipinee or him going to the East to fight with only Altar backing him up?
I had forgotten this. I wonder if they plan on redoing the WoM campaign for FE. I hope they tell us so if not modders
I fixed it by fiddling with the Windows settings, and I'm not man enough to break it for her again. If it happens again, I will post a screenshot. But basically, it was using basic Windows fonts without anti-aliasing, and it looked terrible.
What exactly did you change, I have an issue with fonts. Although I am using Vista. <

Ya I like how when placing and removing mountains the clothmap constantly tells you there are invisible mountains everywhere, and how chasms require you to place the black smoke on the bottom as a separate prop that doesn't work half the time. An undo key would be a GOD SEND!!!!

I would like the ability to create improvements that can be built on resources that don't need ZoC to be built. A simple 0 would work. If can build on it any time you have LoS. You could also throw in the ability to make improvements not require a city to build from, instead they would simply take a many turns to build as they have build turns. This would allow me to do more interesting things in scenarios where you don't wanna be dragging pioneers around
I completed what I felt was the "mini campaign". It was good overall. I'm hoping there are MORE chapters released to continue the story. I know this game is about "sandboxing", but I still like to play a good story campaign. Galactic Civilizations 2 is a good example.
Ya they have mentioned so much more of the lore it would be shame to waste it. Next Relias has to arrive at New Pariden in order to lead the noble revolt.

1. The Shop? Click on a champion and hit the shop button when in your territory. 2. Try designing a custom unit and giving them fire or ice staves and rings, that's what mages are. 3. Dunno 4.Dunno 5. No, to do that you have to create a whole new race, not a faction. 6. Only Henchmen for Altar. 7.Yes, designed units do this automatically. 8. ya maybe.

Ok Sorry for the trouble. Here is a Dropbox Link. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/20690209/Add%20Faction%20Traits%20Mod%20v0.941.rar I even threw in some new stuff just for you guys. [e digicons]^_^[/e] Namely the Purification trait. It's basically a Kingdom version of Death Magic. The only two spells for it right now are Purify and Searing Light though.

Try logging into the site. It is run by Stardock and thus if you have a Impulse account you can login there. The site appears to be having problems... I will try and get a different host up.
