The Elemental\data\English\CoreWeapons.xml states a range of 8 for both bows as it seems. But I couldn't find any further explanation: [code="xml"] 8 [/code] I think it's the maximum range you can target enemy units at all, as I had some battles where I was unable to attack units far away.

I didn't get any patch after 1.05 either. Did the version number change with the hotfix? Apart from the Day-0 patch I didn't receive any update notification.
If it helps: here's my debug.err http://pastebin.ca/1923737 Game slows down to a crawl after a while until wierd issues start to happen (no auto-battle until camera focused on unit, overlapping events, missing special effects like shard "beams" etc.) and the game crashes with a generic Windows error reporting message.
